Look these are the epitome of imaginative figures... the details are top notch, the sturdiness is that of a rock, and the light they are going to bring to my sons unification will be worth every penny!I can’t wait for him to get these at Christmas! And then more for his birthday in March. These figure are the work of Picasso, Rembrandt, and Monet all in one... (maybe a bit of JRR Tolkien too) beautifully done like the art of the masters. You just can’t go wrong with these!

The figure is very detailed and realistic. I've never seen a mutant warrior lion but I have seen the real thing in zoos and this guy looks a lot like one (albeit with armor and weapons). It's not the most realistic of the Mutant Warrior line of figures, but it's still very impressive and very cool.I'm a 65-year-old child when it comes to figurines, a lifelong lover of animals, and a huge sci-fi/fantasy fan and so when I went searching for new animal figures for my 3-year-old grandson and saw this among the Papo offerings, I had to have it.I'm delighted to say my grandson has inherited my love of animals and realistic figures (apparently it skipped a generation with his dad), but I thought that he might be too young for this line of fantasy animals. I introduced him to it with the mutant ape warrior figure and it's become one of his favorites. I've also bought him the Mutant Croc and Rhino figures for Christmas. The Mutant Lion Warrior figure I bought for myself! Both the battle-ax and the sword are removable and interchangeable. None of the armor is removable or, in any way, moveable which was not unexpected, but I thought it worth noting here because it seems other customers have some unrealistic expectations, in general, of these figures. The figure is made of a hard and durable plastic that I'm sure will last a very long time of heavy play, but it will not bend. The limbs are not articulated and the stance the lion comes with is the only one you or your child will ever see. Again, this is perfectly fine by me, but these reviews are meant to be helpful and I've seen that some people are disappointed when they buy a Papo figure and they can't pose it in different positions. The weapons are flexible and they seem sturdy, but they've not been tested by me. They are relatively small and can easily be lost though. I would not give them to a child younger than my grandson. He might lose them but he's not going try and eat them and risk choking. This is one of the least costly of figures in this line, and its quality creates value well in excess of the price. If you or the child in your life are anything like me and my grandson, I feel certain that you will not be disappointed.

Great detail on the figure and my child loved this! However the arms and tail are fragile. The arms broke off within the first 5 minutes of playing. Papo exchanged it with us, but our second copy’s tail broke within 24 hours. The other mutant figure have not broken yet, so I think this figure is just more fragile than the others.

Excellent collectable item you will collect and save. My son has beencollecting Papo figures since he was 3 years-old. He is now 14. We are keeping themfor his children. very detailed, strong, unique figures. Often found on Vacation in specialtytoy shops. Gives the child a chance to be creative in play. Especially if they like to build withLegos or Blocks. These figures can be used as the army......

I purchased some Papo figures to see how they compare to schliech figures I have. Papo is on par with schliech & priced much more reasonably The lion man I recieved is very dark compared to photo, my lion man also has alot more red in his ax. I love the fact that papo's figures are hand painted makeing each one slightly unique. I plan on orderering more papo knights as they are roughly the same size as the more exspensive schliech figures I've allready purchased. As far as being educational the PAPO knights are definatly historicaly educational the mutants are just cool & as far as being educational I dont recall any mythical lionmen but if genetical blending was possible i'm sure PAPO'S mutant collection would be as accurate as this fusion could be represented they are beutifull I use them to decorate my entertainment center & cant believe the number of complaments I have recieved & from people I never would have thought appretiated medevil knights or mutated creatures.

This lionman is very authentic-looking and detailed. If a lionman really existed, he would look just like this one. The only drawback is the long sword that sticks out from the rest of the figure--it broke off the same day my six-year-old cousin started playing with it.

My three year olds favorite toy this Christmas. Lion Man nearly goes everywhere with him. The sword and ax are interchangeable and require a little effort to pull out of Lion Man's grip even after countless battles. The paint was applied in a perfect manner on my figure and has held up well considering it has been buried in or under leaves, sand, mud, and rocks and numerous baths. I can not say anything about Papo's other figures but Lion Man's plastic and paint are definitely of a high quality and I feel it is little better than of our little guy's Schleich figures. I am really impressed.
