these really dont do much. they dim the tensiest amount then suddenly go silent. if you want a cheap quick one dont get these.

seems to work. I don't know yet about durability. But I am rough on headphones and drop my music often while exercising.

You'd expect that the knob controls how much the signal gets passed thru the cable. But it actually seems to be a volume up and down button inside of a knob. Instead of manipulating the signal it actually turns your device up and down, which might be useful if the wheel actually gave you control. On my phone it seems to put the volume to random levels. On my laptop it can increase things by 10 percent points and that's it. Overall utterly useless item. Hopefully I can return it.

Used these for reducing the volume on some Arcade1ups (Big Blue and SF deluxe), as the default max volume is a bit high for leaving on in the background. Worked like a charm.
