These blanks are quick, I've ordered over 10 and I had 1 chip on me but it was truly due to my own error. These and the flags that are sold on Amazon are great but check out the website, they make so many others plus they can make custom blanks, I love them. If you do lathe work for fun or sales the bolt action pens with these blanks will make a great gift and also will sell quick at a farmers market!

I like the the subject of the blank but like all acrylic blanks you need a sharp tool and patience so as not to damage the blank.

Looked at reviews and bought a couple to see how they turned. Sanded down near square and removed the last 1/16 with a carbide mill. I also sanded them down fairly round and then turned with carbide tipped chisel at 3500 rpm. Low pressure passes threw ribbons better than expected. Sanded down and used plastic polish after 1000 grit. Turned out nice- no bubbles and clear resin. Very happy with them and if they sell as expected will be purchasing more. Use sharp tools and sand more than you would wood blanks and they should turn out fine.

I definitely would not recommend this blankThis is the most we have paid for 1 pen blank1st it comes with instructions that you have to “square” the blank yourself. There is very little room to do that as the insert is already at the edge that turning just a small amount is going to cause it to fracture. The insert is also crooked, so even if you are successful on getting this blank turned it will look offset.Definitely not worth the cost, very poorly made

Every American Flag Blank that I bought turned perfectly but I am 1 for 4 on the 2nd Amendment Blanks. At $12 each this is costing me a fortune and is not worth it anymore. I don’t know what they do with this blank but it is very fragile. The same company makes the American Flag one and it turns perfectly. I wish I could return it but I can’t because I’ve already tried turning it. Completely unsatisfied.

The pictures show 3 blanks. I thought 3 blanks for 12.95, not bad. I received one blank. That is a bit pricey. But the quality appears to be good. I have not turned it yet.Update 5/10/18I turned the blank. It was much softer than other acrylics I've turned. The final result was AMAZING!
