Not all de-shedding brushes are the same! I have one just like this one, which has always been my favorite, so was really happy to get another one! This style has always been the one to get the most hair, and has the most comfortable handle.I have a shepherd mix, and his undercoat is really something! This is a de-shedding wonder, and what I will probably do, is just use both of them at the same time to be a little more effecient. After I give him a good brushing with this (with breaks in between), his coat looks so much better.

Only giving this 4 stars because I don't think I have fully been able to try out this productI have a little puppy and her undercoat hasn't really fully come in yet, so I don't think I can speak to its full ability, however, it DEFINITELY works and pulls up/off some undercoat!She has longer hair and this seems to work well. I would feel bad using this on a matted coat, however, as it seems like it would pull/pinch a bit.
