I've camped for several decades now and I've used many camp cook kits. Every one has its good and bad points. This is one of the best I've seen. The steel is solid and a good thickness not chinsy and thin. The kit itself is just the right size for a single person to actually cook a meal for one to two people. Both pots and the lid nest tightly and fit well, each one has their own handle and the handles are strong enough to hold them even full of liquid without bending. The pot stand is actually a useful size and does not constantly fall over like a lot of products aimed at hikers that are of limited use while still folding flat into a compact rectangle, and is useful both over small fires or with an alcohol stove. In general I find this kit more useful than USGI style kits which are more for holding food than cooking it, or bigger German style kits that due to shape are awkward anywhere but a belt pouch. If anything it reminds me of the old Upton kits only larger. You have two vessels for cooking big enough to store possibles in with a lid, and a stand to elevate the kit over a heat source for cooking. Everything you need, nothing extra.

Received the kit 7 days after I ordered this kit which was pretty fast as it was from China to U.K. I guess?I am pretty happy with the quality of the mesh kit as it is made of thicker stainless steel. Pretty thoughtful design too. But need to add a Trangia fuel burner to the kit. Nowadays most cooking camping gears are made from aluminium which is very bad for health and also not sure about the titanium material either as it is not proven long enough. So I am stick to stainless steel kit or cast iron is the weight is allowed.

Compact all in one piece of kit, sturdy and well designed. Delivered a week early WELL DONE, update: I have not yet used this kit, upon opening the unit, the shoulder strap buckle broke, will not stay locked in place

This is the Mess kit you want with you. Quality Stainless Steel that is as thick or better than USGI mess kit and the Great design of pots and lid fitting both and the stove will last a lifetime.
