CO data is 0 when air is healthy

How to test the CO detectors before use?

Carbon monoxide is a colorless, odorless, and non irritating toxic gas that is harmful to the human body. Before use our CO detector, we can take this detector to approach the smoke generated by unburned paper or cigarettes, the CO value will change, and the alarm will sound "di di di" when reaching the alarm value. Please do not test it by car exhaust and burning gas in open areas, as too low CO values will not trigger sensor operation.

I did the suggested test and the alarm worked as promised. I plan to travel with this as I will be staying in budget accommodations and I’m concerned about air quality. I have not yet had a chance to actually use it.

I have one for when I travel and ordered this for my son. Perfect for when he is in his deer blind running a propane heater.

This little device is handy as they come. I used it to check the PPM of carbon monoxide while surfing behind our boat. It does its job!!! When the air is still, and we’re going slow in a no wake zone it detects carbon monoxide in the air. I took it with me on the inner tube and was shocked at the results. It’s loud enough to hear when detecting the carbon monoxide, and makes me feel much safer when I know how many ppm I’m dealing with. Affordable piece of mind!

I'm using it to detect CO on my wake boat. It shows that there is significant exposure while wake surfing.

Last year I built a home made off-road camper. It's fully insulated so I've been able to take it out in the winter but when it gets down below 30° I need a heater. Usually if I'm hooked into shore power I have no issues with running an electric heater but if I'm out boondocking I use a big buddy or I'll light up an alcohol stove to warm it up a bit. I always crack a window but it still makes me nervous not knowing the air quality. This little monitor is great, it's compact, has all the information I want... Even the temp and humidity. The humidity is super useful if you're running propane as you get a lot of condensation with it. But the biggest advantage is the CO alarm telling me I need to crank the windows more and get some fresh air in the camper.Since my camper is really small I don't have a lot of space to store a lot of stuff. The size of this is smaller than a deck of cards which makes this really perfect for storing away when not needed. This is perfect for anyone that's going to be doing some winter camping and needs heat in a small space. I highly recommend.

I really like this device, but there's one, incredibly simple function that I wish they had designed into it. There are multiple scenarios which, especially if plugged in, I want the display screen to stay on indefinitely.Based on the instruction manual, there is no way to deactivate the 30 second screen shutoff feature. That seems like a common sense function that would have been designed into the firmware, so I'm hoping it's a hidden feature and someone here will educate me!!
