Works extremely well and has already paid for itself by saving me vet bills. Strong suction and isn’t too loud. I would recommend

I care for an older pet that occasionally has respiratory issues and needs some help clearing fluids. While this is a veterinary suction machine, its portable design and 1000ml capacity make it suitable for home use under veterinary guidance, which is why I got it.This is a medical-grade suction machine designed to aspirate fluids. It's a relatively compact unit, easy to move around, and plugs into a standard 110V outlet. The 1000ml collection bottle is a decent size for home use. It comes with tubing and filters, though you'll likely need specific sterile catheters recommended by your vet for use with your pet.It provides adjustable suction power, which is important for safely using it on animals – you don't want it too strong. It's been effective when my vet has recommended its use for helping my pet with fluid buildup in their airways, making breathing easier. This is not something you'd use without understanding the proper procedures and having your veterinarian's guidance, but as a tool for specific home care needs for a pet, it can be very helpful. The machine itself functions reliably and the collection bottle is easy to empty and clean (following proper sanitation protocols). If you have a pet with ongoing medical needs that require suction, and your vet approves and trains you on home use, a portable machine like this can be a valuable piece of equipment.

My mother and her elderly dog are visiting, and her dog has issues at times with mucus.I have some smaller sized "baby snot suckers" that I'd used with my old dog when she had a respiratory infection, and suggested we could help my mother's dog breathe a little easier by clearing out his mucus. That's when I discovered this machine, which offers a little more reliability and control than the small, portable model. It helps tremendously to get the mucus as aqueous as possible before suctioning, so if you're able to put the pup in a "humidity tent" of sorts ahead of time, you'll find it easier to remove the mucus. The upside to this machine is that the noisy machinery doesn't have to be right next to the device, so the dog is a little less hesitant to accept treatment with a long suction line. I have some dental tips as well as other connectors. A pediatric tip should work for most dogs. If the mucus is visible, you don't have to get invasive to extract it (how do we not have a glue application for dog excretions?).Your dog will feel much better once they can breathe!Affordable option for anyone who needs reliable medical/veterinarian suction care.Easy to clean and easy to keep hygienic with separate collection container and attachments. This is a sturdy piece of equipment built for long-term use. I'm sure there will be other applications for which it will

As an amateur chemist, one of the activities I engage in frequently is purification of various substances. There are many methods of purification, from active filtration to recrystallization to plain old decanting.Decanting means to allow a solution filled with particulates to settle, whereby the solution is poured off, leaving the particulates behind. As most chemists can tell you, some substances are easier to decant than others. Some are very fluffy and have a similar mass to the solution you're trying to separate them from (such as copper oxalate), and some are heavy and easy to decant, like elemental silver and gold. So, sometimes when trying to decant a solution, you end up pouring over more of the particulate than you like simply by picking up the beaker and pouring it out.This...WONDERFUL little device, is by matter of fact the ultimate decanting tool. It has a 1000ml receiving vessel, which is a perfect match for my myriad of 1000ml beakers and Erlenmeyer flasks, meaning I can do a LOT with this without having to stop and dump it out often. The variable suction means I can draw out liquid as fast or slow as I want, really, meaning I'm going to be bringing over way less particulates than ever before using this.It will also save me a lot of consumables because I won't be blowing through as many filter papers in my Buchner funnel. Win-win, as far as I'm concerned. Now, it might indeed be useful for pets and drawing out phlegm and all that, but that's not why I personally got it. I got it to use solely as a decanting mechanism, and for that it works AMAZINGLY well.If you're a chemist, amateur or pro, and looking to up your decanting game (and who isn't), you seriously need to look into this little device here. It's absolutely amazing for this purpose. 5 stars, and very highly recommended.
