Something called a PTTJ-1 with an SPX brand label arrived. The capabilities of this puller are not even close to what was advertised. Maximum jaw width is less than 11 inches. Reach is less than 8.5 with the jaw at minimum width. False advertising on Amazon… AGAIN. See photos for proof.

I purchased this puller so I could rebuild a variable speed transmission and it hasn't disappointed. I grips well and is easy to adjust and pull with. I haven't tried it on other applications but given it's sturdy build, I'm sure it would work fine.

Bought specifically for variator rebuilds. Puller is well built and sturdy. I feel sager doing these jobs with this puller than any other I have used in the past. Even if you're just doing one, this is a must have tool that is worth the cost.

I bought these based on word from a tech at Novak Adapters for rebuilding a Muncie SM465 transmission and fought and fought to pull the front bearing with a small, recessed groove that no other puller could touch. I put these on there, and in 2 minutes the bearing was out, as well as the rest of the outer case bearings. Having the right tool for the job is invaluable, and these pullers are just that. I also used these to pull apart my Dana 300 transfer case to rebuild it as well. The 3 jaw set is a nice compliment to these monsters too.
