The product itself is bulkier than other's I've used. The laser doesn't appear against all colors, only white. There is no volume button like similar products have.

I tested this remote using a Windows 10 computer and Microsoft PowerPoint. The remote requires one AAA battery, which is not included. So just make sure you have one available so you can use the remote when it arrives. Removing the battery door was a bit of a challenge, but ultimately easy to do once I used a jeweler’s screwdriver to press the tab that holds the door in place. It was a bit frustrating, but it might actually be a feature because the door is unlikely to be accidentally opened. Installation of the USB receiver was simple – just plug it in and it worked. Once installed, the forward, back, black screen, and laser pointer functions worked properly. Given that it works without issue, I would normally rate this product 5 stars. HOWEVER, the remote is made of hard plastic and not “soft rubber” as stated in the product description. That wouldn’t be a big deal for me, but the description should be accurate. Further, the remote doesn’t feel particularly rugged, so I’m not sure how well it would do if dropped to a hard floor. None-the-less, this product is an inexpensive alternative to name brand remotes. In summary, I wouldn’t shy away from this product because of the 4-star rating. But I only give 5 stars to products that work properly and have accurate product descriptions.

I teach presentation development and delivery for a living and consequently I use a clicker constantly. This clicker does a great job - and it offers more features than the two others I own that cost 3 times the price. Here's what I like:It is extremely lightweight and comfortable in the hand. I wouldn't drive a car over it, but it seems perfectly sturdy for presentations in any context outside of a war zone.It is truly plug and play. Pull the USB receiver out of the bottom of the clicker, insert it into your USB port and you're ready to roll. Simple. The laser works great and the range for both the laser and the USB receiver are great for any business settings I can envision. (They say it works up to ~30 feet away, which my tests confirmed.)It has several functions. Of course, it advances slides and goes backwards. It also gives you the ability to go from "slide show" mode to normal editing mode with the click of a button. Another click of the button and you can black out the screen so any particular slide doesn't remain visible (and potentially detract from the conversation at hand). Since I stress simplicity in presentations, I'm delighted that it doesn't offer additional complex functionality; in my experience that simply isn't necessary. If it's too complicated, Mr. Murphy will show up and mess things up. I've seen numerous doubters learn the hard way...The only thing I don't like about this particular unit (and this is a personal preference and not necessarily a product flaw) is that the "top button" (in my world I see this as the "up" button) goes to the previous slide, while the "bottom button" (the "down" button in my world) advances the slide. This seems backwards to me. At first I thought the product was defective because I could not advance from the first slide. When I shifted my expectations to the reality of this clicker, all worked well.Overall, a great, highly functional clicker and a fantastic value. Highly recommended.

This was very easy to use, an acceptable size, good laser production, easy to carry in my bag, able to interface with a computer - everything I want. I used it in a poster presentation when I needed to sit because of an injury and it performed excellently. I haven’t tried it with a presentation yet, but it does have a USB dongle so it should work. The length is a bit more than I was expecting: when I hold it in my (relatively small) hand, it goes from the butt of my palm to where I rest it on my index finger. I thought I wouldn’t like this but it actually makes it very well balanced and easy to handle and point steadily. The light is bright and a good size circle and had a fine reach that would also be appropriate for a presentation or lecture. It’s very slim and slips into a bag easily. The button presses easily and is responsive. I used to borrow a pointer from my advisor and I’m glad to have my own now, and this one serves all my needs. It’s an excellent product for the price.

I ordered this clicker because I make a lot of presentations and wanted one to keep in my computer bag. I was attracted to this one because it is slim and about the size of a substantial fountain pen (if you remember those) and fits in the pouch in my case. This is an inexpensive clicker and it shows in the rather flimsy plastic case. I wouldn't put it in your pocket and sit on it - I don't think it would hold up to that. To get it going, you have to put in the one AAA battery and pull out the USB-A from storage in the end of the clicker and put it in a USB-A port in your computer. It seems to work well with Powerpoint on my MacBook. It has forward and reverse buttons. If you press and hold the forward button, it starts the slideshow and doing that with the back button it blacks the screen, which is convenient before starting and when ending a presentation. The red laser is pretty powerful, but of course, it won't work directly on a computer or TV monitor, but shows up well on a projector screen. I haven't had it long enough to know how well the battery lasts, but I assume that if you keep the on-off switch off when you store it, it should last a while. Overall, this seems to be a good choice for an inexpensive presentation clicker.
