I used this with minced garlic and chicken gizzards because the gizzards stay on the hook better. I did not dry them out as suggested. But, you could imagine my surprise reeling in catfish on lake conroe that had huge pieces of pink gizzards that looked like bubblegum. I have several jars in the refrigerator marinating. The gizzards are reusable because they are hard to remove from the hook. Ii just pop them back in the jar for later use.

I can't say that it helped the cureing process. The liver did loss it's moisture. That could have been from just letting it lay out. This will stain everything. Be careful because it become airborne easily and you will taste it. Tastes a little like kool-aid. Which makes me wonder, could I just use kool-aid? I have gone through 2 lbs of liver that I cured with this product and haven't gotten a bite nor caught a fish. So you be the judge. I included a picture of the finished product.

The cure cured grest, perfect even. I tried this bail 3 times, to make sure it wasnt the bait. First time, plain chicken liver(which half slings off the hook lol) cought 10+ without the cured catching 1. Other 2 times plain cut up(and cheaper by FAR) chicken breast/garlic powder caught 10 plus fish to the pro-cure getting a few decent bites at most. After 2 hours I was fishing solely chicken titties and cut shad. I really wanted this to work but it simply sidnt. I should also add that any stick bait or dough balls have never worked for me in this lake (kerr lake, buggs island va/nc)

I have fished with it for a couple of months and not had very much luck. To bait the hook you have to use gloves because it stains your hands really bad.

It certainly works. Buts it's a pain to use. The pink stuff gets everywhere and stains everything it touches. I'll stick with other baits

Worked like a charm cure liver. Only thing I suggest is be aware of the amount used, too much can turn the liver tough like jerky however the right amount and your liver is ready for war.
