About this item

  • HIGH QUALITY: The DC governor is made of high quality circuit board, with long service life, low heat generation, high efficiency and large .
  • POSITIVE AND NEGATIVE TWO-WAY ROTATION: The motor speed controller adopts PWM speed regulation, which is accurate and stable, and supports forward/reverse control.
  • SPEED CONTROL: The speed control mode of the motor speed controller adopts potentiometer control and 270 degree potentiometer speed control mode.
  • IMPORTANT PARAMETERS: output voltage: linear load; output current: 80A; continuous current: 70A; working voltage: 12V-60V.
  • NOTE: The red line indicates the positive pole of the power supply, the negative line of the black Lineis power supply, and the blue and yellow wires are connected to the motor. The positive and negative poles cannot be distinguished.

This product work for about one min correctly. Now it will not change speed on my trolling motor. Went to return and read where if it is used they will not accept return. Do not buy unless you just want to throw away your money.

I used this item to build a trolling motor speed controller for a fishing kayak. This item worked well for about 6 months. In total, I estimate it had about 25-50 hours of use. Then it just stopped working. While this was used on a kayak, it was contained in a sealed 8.6"x6.7"x4.3" electrical box, and there was no evidence of water entry.Trouble shooting revealed the issue was the relay controlling forward direction. Reverse still worked, so I was able to just swap some wires and get my forward direction operational again. While this was an easy solution because I do not use reverse, I would obviously prefer that the unit never failed. My hope is that this is an isolated failure because it worked beautifully before this issue. Only time will tell.Edit 1 month later. I got 2 more trips out of the speed controller before it completely stopped working. Disassembly revealed the forward and reverse relays were cooked. The system shouldn't have been drawing more than 40-50 amps max. This system is not able to handle the advertised 70 amps. The wires coming out of the unit were probably 12ga wire which is small for 70 amps (I connected the 12ga it came with to 8ga). Again, this suggests the system is not designed for 70 amps.I replaced with a spare identical unit, but the potentiometer wouldn't adjust motor speed. I replaced the potentiometer with the one I had from the first unit, and it also would not adjust motor speed. The second unit was broken from the start.
