Received the driver today took it to the range on the third swing shaft broke at the head sending the head 100 yards down the fairway. Fast 300 bucks thrown away.

I got this driver to replace an ~8 year old driver that had been in my golf bag for a while that I got from my father in-law. When the package arrived, it was in great shape, and I was impressed with the quality and style of the driver. It looks great at address. I took it to the range the following weekend and got some good swings in with it. I definitely liked the feel of it when compared to my old driver. Not only did it add some yardage to my drive, I was hitting the ball fairly more consistently. I didn't mess with it at all, but it is also nice that the driver has 3 adjustable weights for you to really dial in your swing and fade/draw. Overall, this is a great looking driver that seems to perform well.

I liked this driver the moment I laid eyes on it so I had to order it and hit it to see if it was any better than what I currently play. I must say that it didn't disappoint. It's easy to hit, has that high launch/low spin off the clubface, and is still pretty long on mishits. However, I had a difficult time feeling the ball compress during impact, which was a little weird for me. Shots finding the middle of the clubface feel almost identical to off center shots so it was hard for me to gauge how well I hit it. Seems like a club thats intended for mid to high handicap golfers based on the feel factor, so I have it as a backup driver to whats in the bag now.

I am not an experienced golfer, but I know what it feels like to smash a ball with a great driver! After my last driver met its untimely demise when my son whacked the head clean off the shaft, it was time for an upgrade. I am not picky, but I love the adjustability of this club. Feels great it in the hand, feels great to swing. Win!

This is the Gen 5 PXG 0311, which was released in 2022. I got it with the stiff shaft. For comparison, I use a Ping G410 stiff, which I was fitted for in 2021, so this is a very reasonable comparison test. My driver swing speed is generally 104 +/- 2 mph. First, the PXG shaft is light at 50g and very flexible for a stiff shaft. It has a high kick point, so it feels whippy to me. My Ping shaft is 65g with a low kick point. My son, who moves it at about 110 mph, could not hit the PXG driver straight at all. The shaft is far too whippy for him. For me, I found it generated a slight fade compared to similar swings with my Ping. The clubhead and ball speed were similar to my G410. It is a little spinnier than my Ping, which I chalk up to the shaft. PXG's shafts are designed for people with smoother, less violent swings than me. If you take a long, looping swing, this might work well for you. That being said, I love the look of the club. It sets up square, it's not reflective or overly shiny, and the head looks great at address. The headcover is cool and the magnet on the cover to attach it to your cart or a club when you're using the driver is a nice touch. This is a great choice for a golfer who doesn't need the latest tech and is looking to save some money.

Sleek grey color. Nice 3-weight head also comes with tool to adjust. Love the X on the club face to help with alignment. Smooth swing - will definitely help my game.

I was excited to get my new 5 Gen driver only to have the shaft snap on my very first swing off the tee. I decided to send it back and not take a replacement shaft and they still charged me the 10% restocking fee! What a joke this was clearly a warranty issue. Will never buy pxg again. Before the driver I purchased an iron set and a 3 wood.
