This is a well-made pipe mount adapter. The adapter is secured to the mounting pipe by a set of 6 bolts set into 3 metallic plates slotted into the plastic portion of the adapter, making it much more secure than many other designs I have seen. The product comes with instructions and the required Allan wrench for installation.Great product.

The adapter is well made and feels solid in the hand. However it did not work for my starlink. The adapter fits well into my starlink mini tripod adapter, but I could not thread in the screw that holds the adapter to the tripod. The threading hole was not perfectly aligned with the hole on the starlink tripod adapter, so I would not properly secure the metal adapter to the starlink tripod mount.

I misread the posting. I thought this was a tripod with an adapter. This is an adapter for starlink. I really was getting it for a tripod. I don't have starlink. So I'm returning it. General look, seems to match the description and good quality.

Using this with my mini to attach easily to a 2” aluminum tube that secures to our RV. I had plenty of 2” pipe that I used to attach our Dish to our RV on the side ladder. Easy to mount the mini once this is secured to the pipe and then on to our RV ladder. Nice addition to our mini, makes the mini easier to setup high up on our RV.

This product is sold as a tripod to hold a Starlink mini-antenna. It is a tripod with a 1/4-20 threaded bolt sticking out the top—this bolt is compatible with most trail cameras and professional cameras, as well as the Starlink adapter (which is included). My use case is with trail cameras. We live on a ranch that has few trees. I have four trail cameras, and wanted to improve the videos by lifting the cameras further from the ground—the videos are much improved. When set up, the tripod base will fit in a 9” circle (photo 1) . The overall height can be adjusted to between 12.2” and 18.8”. After adjusting the height, there is a set screw to lock the adjustment. It can be tilted left to right about 140 degrees and back to front 90 degrees. The locking screw for the front and back tilt extends above the surface, conflicting with the camera (see photo 2) (it does not conflict with the Starlink adapter). Left to right adjustment also has a bubble level to check for level. There is a rotation set screw that, when released, allows one to smoothly rotate the head around the vertical axis, perhaps for use supporting a video camera. The tripod weighs only 8.2 oz, with the Starlink adapter adding 4.1 oz.It comes with a very nice travel bag that is also lightweight.Minor issues: trail cameras are clunky—the one in the photo weighs 1 lb 2 oz—and they also have considerable frontal area, making them susceptible to wind. (See photo 3) In addition, the mounting hole on the camera is not centered, making it front-heavy. For this test, I had the unit set up for three days and it did NOT blow over, but I was careful to have the weight of the camera over one of the legs. There’s a tradeoff here between lightweight and durability. The legs and extension shaft are thin metal tubing. (Photo 4) I think there is a real risk of rust (although they are painted inside and out) if left outside for a long time. Since it is sold as a portable unit, it is not intended for permanent installation and I would not suggest using it for that. If it gets wet, I suggest drying it off. Finally, the post mentions “Clear Instructions.” None were included, nor were they needed.Highly recommended for temporary set ups.

Machining of the aluminum is perfect - as it should be considering the simple shape - allowing the adapter to fit perfectly. The threads in the recessed nut are no exception to the machining quality. Any 1/4-20 bolt (standard size for cameras/tripods/selfie stick adapters) can be smoothly inserted, too, with no hangups or binding. If this adapter is what you need in order to adapt one thing to another thing, this adapter will adapt to your needs, effortlessly adapting the way you'd expect a quality adapter to adapt.
