I had my doubts that this would even fit correctly because it's a brand new piece for an old almost 40 year old motorcycle. But to my surprise not only did it fit without any leaks but it works! After the bike warmed up the fan turns on as it should. I didn't test the exact temperatures per the Haynes manual because the radiator cap must be off with a temperature gauge put into the top and that causes coolant to rise up out of the radiator. I had jumped the back of the wires first to confirm the original radiator fan switch was faulty per the manual so I knew the fan and wiring was all good before I purchased this. The connection for the wiring is an exact match. The device itself is slightly different in that the size of the wrench used is one size larger for this one. But the important part is that the threads match into the radiator. The switch came with the rubber o-ring as well. I'm very happy with the purchase.
