I started with a slightly cheaper controller but quickly found it lacking in channels, quality, and flexibility. After switching to the Radiomaster TX16S, I can honestly say it's a huge upgrade.I was initially hesitant due to the higher cost, but it turned out to be totally worth it. The TX16S feels great in hand, looks professional, and setting it up was surprisingly easy thanks to plenty of clear tutorials online. The flexibility to customize every button and setting is exactly what I needed, making it perfect for current and future projects.I got the ELRS version and haven't had any connection problems at all. It also came with some nice extras—a sturdy carrying case, low-profile grips, a screen protector, and springs to auto-center the joysticks. Plus, being able to use a 2S LiPo battery directly is super convenient.I'm mostly using this controller with RC robotics projects. This with a RP3 Receiver and a ESP32 have been an awesome combination, and I'm sure I will be super happy with this controller for any other projects that I come up with.If you're debating spending a bit more for this controller, I'd highly recommend going for it. You won't regret it!

Great Radio for the money, I'd buy another but I don't need it because this one will fly all of my planes!

Lots to learn with this radio but the versatility is almost limitless. Can be configured for just about any model aircraft you would ever fly. True ... you do need to spend some time learning how to set it up but the information you need is all on you tube videos and easy to access. I do recommend this radio transmitter.

Stupid good for the price. I can do anything I want to do with this thing short of playing a youtube video on the screen lol. I run my home-made E-Flite plane as well as my Horizon Hobby BNF plane. Also able to connect the USB to my computer and use Realflight. Get it if you're looking for a buy once, cry once purchase but without the tears cause it's only $200. Best value transmitter and feels good too.

I was drawn to this transmitter because it can use receivers from many manufacturers, and it costs far less than the "name brand" transmitters with equivalent features. I've had it for a while now, and I like almost everything about it except that it's rather challenging to program. It uses Edge TX as an operating system, and there's no "how-to" manual. Figuring out the various tasks requires you to either go to a YouTube video or an online forum.

I loved this radio when I first tried it out but needed to upgrade the EdgeTX and Multi-module firmware editions (the radio came with 2020-2022 versions) to be able to sync with some newer receivers, etc. After I did, the radio continued to work ONLY with the currently paired device but when I try to access the "Manage Modules" menu, the system hangs and the only way to reboot it is to disconnect the battery.I've tried reflashing several different firmware updates, have all the latest Module updates and SD Card pack, etc. I put in a brand new high-quality SD card (matching the specs from Radiomaster) and retried everything. Radiomaster support has been ZERO help; their one reply in one week of "support" on my service ticket was to try a new SD card days after I told them I had already done that twice.Do not purchase from this supplier; find a supplier that will guarantee that the radio you buy has the current firmware installed and that the radio is working properly!***Edit: eventually Radiomaster support determined the card reader was bad and had a “new” main board sent which took 3 weeks to arrive due to dishonest local subcontractor who ended up sending a board that was pulled from another radio.***

I highly recommend this radio for beginners! My reasoning is that once you buy this radio, you will not need anything else.In 2006 when my son was 12 years old, I built a matching pair of Associated T3 trucks with Futaba FM pistol grip radios. This was before the days of 2.4GHz. We played with the trucks then he grew out of it so I sold the trucks and radios. In 2014, I played with a lot of toy-grade helicopters and quadcopters. Each of these toys came with their own transmitter so there was a proliferation of transmitters in my house. Then I forgot about RC again for a while.A couple of years ago, my buddy gave me his old Spektrum DX6 and two old planes. The DX6 is ok but is locked into the DSMX protocol. I started looking for a new general purpose RC radio and found the Radiomaster TX16S. I bought the 4-in-1 version. Apparently, at all the drone races today, this is the radio that most of the pilots use.I have been searching for this kind of radio for many years. It can fly many different kinds of toy-grade aircraft. The ability to fly a cheap toy-grade quadcopter, helicopter, or airplane with a high quality hobby-grade transmitter is awesome! This radio has a learning curve but there are many youtube videos on how to setup almost any type of aircraft. I have bound it to 3 DSMX airplanes, a Wltoys V912 helicopter, XK 100 and XK110 helicopters, GEPRC Phantom drone, Happymodel Mobula7 drone, and an OMPHobby M2 helicopter. This radio works great on all my aircraft. The touchscreen is awesome. There are many switches and settings so it can be daunting for newbies but the radio is super powerful in what it can do. It does airplanes, helicopters and drones equally well. It can fly any type of aircraft which is compatible.Worth every penny!
