Rain‑X Windshield Repair Kit helps you minimize the appearance and stop the spread of chips and cracks in your windshield. It removes air from the break, fills it with durable resin and makes it even stronger than before. For best results, repairs should be made as soon as possible after the damage occurs and before the break is contaminated by dirt or water. The kit works best on round damage not more than one inch in diameter, and cracks not longer than 12 inches. It will not repair damage to more than one layer of glass.

My car's windshield had a minor crack initially and later it expanded due to pressure and temperature variation. I received the product on time before my crack was expanding. Unfortunately weather was not supportive to apply on time. But later I could control the expansion of the crack on windshield after using this product.

Easy to use and so far, great results. I had a 8” crack in my windshield, at the top that was working its way down. (From a rock hitting it). I used this stuff and so far the crack hasn’t grown. It’s been a month and it’s still holding strong. I was very skeptical of these products, but so far, this one is working.

This was super easy to use, and it had enough product to fill a bunch of cracks and chips on both of my cars. I've had a huge bullseye on my windshield for a few years, and now you can barely tell it was ever there. You still notice a slight difference, but it isn't very obvious and you have to really look for it.

Didn’t effective fill our chip to keep it from expanding. Is supposed to be able to file cracks as well. Attempted to fill a 1.5-2 inch crack and didn’t seem to work and the crack continues to grow.

When I opened the package, I smelt a strong odor, grabbed the glue and noticed it had leaked out of the small container. Almost half of the content was gone. As you can see in the picture, the blue color printed material on the container had dissolved due to the leakage. Had to wash then wipe my hands multiple times to get rid of the smell. Called Amazon and reported the issue with the leakage. Waiting for a response from the merchant. The leakage of the glue out of the container is the manufacturer's issue not the merchant’s.Applied the remaining glue on the relatively small and simple crack based on the provided instructions, but it didn’t work. Reapplied, but didn't see any results. The entire crack which is not too long in length is still visible. Anyways, lost my money and went through the hassle of ordering, applying the glue and didn't see a result. Not happy.

I bought a used van that appears to have been caught behind a gravel truck. Both the paint and windshield show small to tiny chips. One of the chips on the windshield worried me a bit, but I should note it was quite small. I bought this repair kit hoping to at least keep it from growing into a crack. While preparing to make the repair, I noticed a dozen or so tiny, tiny little chips barely visible, but palpable. I set about following the instructions carefully, buoyed by the YouTube videos. I used a dry-erase marker to circle these almost invisible marks from the outside, then again from the inside, so I could clean the glass on the outside while still having the chips marked. I began by setting the device over the largest chip. It does take some trial and error, so an extra helper would help. My first mistake was taking the instructions literally. It says to use 3 to 6 drops depending on the size of the chip. I opted for 4, but know now that I should have put the tip deep into the center and gently squeeze 4 times. I held it above the opening so I could see the drops. Later discovered that the liquid never reached the bottom ... it got collected by the threads. Once I screwed down the plunger as directed (not realizing there was nothing coming out), I considered the other tiny marks and realized they could be treated as cracks are treated, so I put a dab on each of them and covered them with the curing strips. However, when I removed the device, I could see my mistake and decided, given the size of the chip, I'd treat it as the others, placing a drop in the chip and covering it with the strip. After the prescribed time in the full sun, I began to remove the strips and scrape off the excess resin over each marked flaw. The excess shaved off easily when the razor was held perpendicular to the surface. When done, I checked from the inside, where they were still marked. Most had disappeared from view, including the largest one. Once I had cleaned both the inside and outside, I can find only one or two tiny spots that I may have overlooked and never treated. While it did render these little flaws completely invisible, I am not convinced that if I had a real, a serious chip and/or crack this product would actually strengthen the glass enough to prevent further damage. For my needs and budget, it worked fine (for now), but for a serious chip or crack, I think I'd feel better having it repaired professionally.I gave it only 3 stars simply because it do not feel my experience is a valid test for the needs of most users, as well as my application issue.
