Used once. Tried wiping down with a soft cotton towel with glass cleaner on it. Scratch's on the screen. I emailed Rapala to ask if there's a screen protector on . They replied, no there's no protector and made no comment on how easily the screen scratched. Problem is when I am outside and the sun reflects off the screen the scratches look worse. Amazon replaced it for me. The scale works fine but I will use a teri towel to clean in the future.

I haven't used it much yet but I did check it against an Ozeri digital kitchen scale and it was very close. Seems to work fine.

海外釣行に使いました、使い買ってはとてもいいです、 海外の仲間に土産としておいてきましたが、フルスケールをオーバーする獲物が釣れたら、連絡が来ることになっています

Bought this on advice of neighbor. His scale seems fairly accurate but mine is off by 1/2 a pound. Too bad we can not test it before we make a purchase to see if we have a good one or not.

I am really surprised Rapala would put their name on this thing. I bought it to replace a Berkeley digital scale that was somewhat difficult to use but this thing really has it beat. First, there are two buttons: One turns it on while the other does everything else and I mean EVERYTHING - switching from lbs/oz to lbs/tenths of a pound to KG; recording the weight; putting it in memory; reading and zeroing memory. It was difficult sitting on the couch with a one pound weight to work that single button; just try that while holding a struggling bass! I kept switching to KG, then zeroing memory; never DID get the dang thing to perform its primary job which was WEIGH THE FISH.And the "hook" - there is NO WAY to hook a bass on that unless you jab a big hole in his lip. I bent it enough that it finally hung on the inside lip but never got a weight anyway.I would have thrown the worthless POS in the lake if my wife hadn't been with me. I am planning on running over it with my truck next Saturday.Bottom line: Doesn't work, dont waste your money.

Seems to be a good fish scale, If I could only catch a large mouth bass in the 15 lb range.. Shipping was really slow, one week to go about 15 miles.

I was looking for a relatively low weight digital scale for large mouth bass fishing and this seemed to fit the bill. I'd seen a 50 pound version of a similar scale so I figured this would be smaller but it's not--it's a big unit. The scale takes a 9 volt battery which would seem good but the snap on contacts were loose so I started by using some electrical tape to secure them. For some reason, the scale only has two buttons and this is one of those electronic devices that tries to be "iPod like" in simplicity but turns out to be very frustrating to use, as it seems to independently toggle from one function to another depending on how long you hold the buttons down or in what order, etc. Decided to send it back in favor of a mechanical scale. The directions were no help, unfortunately.

This product is great; very accurate, especially when weighing small fish, and easy to use. We used 2 of these during our JR fishing Rodeo and were able to accurately weigh the smallest fish, which is very important during this event.
