These were expensive to buy, plus the cost of the dealership fitting to the cab of my Ford F-550 cab. But the truck is lifted 6 inches and is fitted with 41 inch tires, so these steps are essential for climbing into the cab. They have been on for about 3-4 years and have never failed. Very happy with them.

These work great after the wiring is done. Not enough wire had to splice and lengthen. Hard for one person to hold and bolt

Super easy install. This set is well built and well put together. The wife loves them too.

The idea of power step is a great idea. According to the manufacture you should not get them dirty or they wont warranty them . I do not drive off road and power wash my truck regularly as one can in Alaska . We do not use salt on the roads like the mid west so little corrosion happens. After a control module , 3 electric motors ( that fill with dust and jamb up due to a lack of sealing the motors well) I found that the hinge assembles were binding. Evey time I replaced the electric motorS I lubed the hinges. After contacting AMP over the course of the year trying to find a fix for the steps not retracting. All the while the steps were out collecting dirt. This is the customer fault According to Ivan at Amp. He blames the customer for there being A little rust on the hinge ends . Now the body's are plastic and the hinge pins are what a piers to be stainless steel. How ever the in between tube that the pin rides in is carbon steel.WITH NO GREASE ZERT OR ANY WAY OF LUBRICATING THE PIVOT POINTS OTHER THAN SPRAY SOME TYPE OF LUBE ON THE EXPOSED PARTS (No recommended lube type by Amp). Now I have always thought that if you had any thing that was exposed to the weather you need to be able to service therm, grease zerts , bearings that could be removed for service or better yet sealed bearings . Not 2 dissimilar metals rubbing back and forth with no way to get lube in the pivot points .After being told they will not warranty due to poor surface rust(poor design ) . I finally was annoyed enough to get on the ground in the snow and dissembled the running boards and took off the hinges . I put them in a vise and wd40'd them until they were drunk in w. I got them to loosen up some . then used a lot and I mean a lot of lithium spray on grease to try to work it into the pivot points. 45 minutes later they were operating ok , not great but ok. Will it last the winter , I don't think so. If standard road dust and dirt stop them from operating its a very poor design. Conclusion, If you want to look cool and blow 1500-2000 bucks on something that will need a lot of extra maintenance due to poor engineering .Go for it -JUST REMEMBER DON'T GET YOUR TRUCK DIRTY !

Just put them on my 2019 6.7L Super Crew F-350. Install is very straightforward so don't be daunted by the difficulty rating. AMP Research gives you everything you need accept hand tools. It is a really good kit. That said, the wiring harness leaves much to be desired. There is not much room under the hood to locate the PowerStep controller and the harness defines where you put it. It's in an awkward location to say the least. There is very little, if any, slack in the harness to allow for a tidy install. The split loom should be tucked neatly under (and zip tied) to the cowl above and away from everything as it crosses the engine compartment. But alas, there just isn't enough harness to do that so it routes in a clumsy way. The battery lead should be much longer to permit low routing and coming up to the battery terminal in alignment with the terminal boot (cover). Instead, there is just enough wire enough to grab the closest body ground and then the positive battery terminal so the fuse sits too high and the power wire comes out the side of the terminal boot. The harness is way too short on LED lighting wires so installers will need to make eight splices per side to pick up power and ground at both the harness and the light. Another 12" of wire in the harness for the LEDs would make for a much nicer install. So far steps work perfectly, look great and are super wide and sturdy.

These power steps are the best and you can't beat the price. I shopped around for several weeks and this set was the least expensive. I have a set on my wife's Wrangler but this set for my 2018 F-250 Super Duty is far better in construction, speed, and aesthetics. It's also near silent, an added bonus. I didn't use the ODBII splitter but they are a dime a dozen for non-Amp version. I also didn't install the LEDs I just capped them off. The OEM LED puddle lights are plenty illumination both front and rear, but again, better LEDs are a dime a dozen if I ever change my mind.

These auto steps are one of the best aftermarket items you could put on your ride. The price here on Amazon was the lowest I could find. Most dealers wanted $1,750.00 installed!! I bought them on Amazon and installed myself. I tried calling a few local area shops and most wanted $275-$425 just to install if I brought my own!! I like to do the aftermarket install myself if I can(lift kits excluded) so I did and it took me just about 2.5 hours from OEM step removal to running the wire harness, mounting hardware/lighting, wiring to OBD splitter, battery and zip tying the wire looms up. The OBD connector splitter is a must for the Plug n' Play version(AMP Research Part# 76404-01A for my 2017 F-250). The pics are w/ OEM steps, OEM steps removed and AMP steps stowed and deployed.

Amazing product, I bought these for my 2017 f250, locally a shop wanted to charge me $1,700 installed so I decided to take the risk and buy and try and install myself and save around $400, I consider myself an advanced DIYer and it took me 3 hours to install and that is including removing my factory steps and no help, all that is required is a few basic tools and in my opinion you are better off looking at a 6 minute video on YouTube and it will be crystal clear, the included instructions make it seem more complicated that what it really is, over all amazing product, would definitely recommend, I attached some pictures of my truck with the factory steps and then with the new steps open and closed
