Perfect for use with power outage or camping

Luckily, I already had one of these on hand during hurricane Milton, and the subsequent power outage. Excellent item for heating water, and reheating those canned goods stored in the pantry. Simply open pouch, remove heating pod and place it into the bottom of the plastic container, use the pouch to measure proper amount of water, place metal container into the plastic container, add whatever you need to heat, put on cover and wait a few minutes. No flames, no gas. The container does get hot, so I recommend placing it on a silicone mat, or something that can withstand some heat, and use oven mitts or similar.Easy to use, takes barely any room to store, and it's easy to order the heating pods.Definitely recommend.

The latest version has a neoprene foam "dish" for heat insulation, instead of just a "belt", which should be better. Arrived a week earlier than promised. I'd recommend getting a small plastic pot ( such as a cut-off water bottle base ), with the required water volume marked on.

I purchased the product because sometimes I do not want to or cannot use fire/electricity during road trip. The food temperature is high enough. It is very convenient!!! I am very satisfied with the Barocook cookware.

Bought this as an emergency cooking unit. It works but extremely expensive. Should have returned it. Quality is very good, works as described but for a single use item I regret buying it. So small even for one person you would have to cook at least , at a minimum of 2 meals per day.

I was prepared to be disappointed in this cooker based on some of the reviews. I was pleasantly surprised instead. I was cooking soup from a thermal lunch bag on an ice pack (so pretty cold), with a couple of thick slices of turkey dropped in. I followed the instructions, and was impressed at the end of 20 minutes with a hot container of soup. Actually, so hot that it almost burned my tongue. I was afraid to leave the heater in the container after cooking because it was still very hot, and some comments said it could deform the plastic container if left in too long. (Although the instructions said you could use it to keep your food warm for a long time.). My only worry is that there are already a few discolored spots on the bottom of the metal pan from the cooking process, which I assume could get worse as it is used. At any rate, this should be a good (but expensive) option for our camping and emergency supplies for those times you can’t or don’t want a fire.

All the hype about this product, yet it is lucky to even warm up let alone get hot.I purchased the 1200ml container and watched several videos on its use. I put dried noodle, some cooked chicken, stock and pack choy. It was full but not completely full of liquid because I thought the steam from the heat would cook it all. Not even close. Firstly the heat pack took 20 minutes to react and steam, the the food container went on then the timer for 15 minutes. Checked, still cold. Another 15 minutes on the timer. Checked, getting warm. 15 minutes again, checked, Luke warm. This is a 1200ml container and the temperature at best gets only warm. Even the dried noodle at the bottom wasn’t even cooked after 45 minutes. My advice, don’t even waste your money. Buy a little butane stove or use a wood fire. This unit is totally useless in my opinion. Yes have tested several other recipes with same result, undercooked and Luke warm.

The large size required 50g heating pack. I used two 20g packs. It seemed like it wasn't heating at first but after 5 minutes it heated well. It kept the heat over 30 minutes.

Good cook ( heat up ) system for hiking/ kayaking trips. Small and lightweight it stows easy. Works good with mountain house and foods of the like. Your not going to cook raw meats with this but it does get hot enough to boil water. It has a removable neoprene sleeve around it for safety
