It does not come with good instructions for installing. I actually had it all boxed for return but went to you tube and figured it out.

Was worried if replacing my ice maker would would fix my no ice problem but it did. It took about half day to start getting ice which is expected. Well worth the price.

Perfect replacement for my Whirlpool GI6FARXXY07 refrigerator. It came with an adapter cable that permitted this new ice maker to be connected to the existing fridge wiring. Although I did not need it, this replacement ice maker has an adjustment for the water level, which determines the size of the cubes (actually crescents). A crimping tool is required to attach wires to a (supplied) butt connector.Wonderful to hear sound of “first drop” ice cubes after the new ice maker was installed and after it achieved the proper (cold) operating temp. Took about an hour, but your mileage may vary.
