So far, just about every tom has benefitted from using the model drum head. My latest project has brought my 1973 Slingerland 6pc back to life. I had the bearing edges trued and replaced or repaired failing hardware. The final act was replacing the heads. I tried Remo vintage & pinstripes but it was the ambassador X with the thicker single ply that helped bring out my sets voice. I also use them on my Pearl Masters Maple.
