Very snug fit for the charger plug, almost too tight. I wish I replaced this sooner. No more warnings popping up to tell me that my AC/DC power adapter is not recognized. Just a worn out socket for the plug.

Gave charging error, voltage. This had a small "box" along the wiring that the original did not. I ordered a different brand which worked fine.

My old power jack on my Dell Inspiron was all messed up. Power cord was very loose from the beginning. I ordered this replacement, took out the old jack, installed this one, reassembled computer...no power, screen is dark. Tech at Staples told me that sometimes after market jacks can't deliver adequate power to all system. Just ordered OEM Dell power jack. I will install that and see if that solves. the problem. That's the only reason for the 3 stars.
