This oil pump creates pressure and volume which pushes the oil to circulate to the entire combustion engine keeping every component lubricated for better performance. This provides 18% higher volume over the stock oil pump. Over time, the oil pump of your vehicle may start to wear down and would lack oil pressure due to long time of usage.

It didn't even last a month and lost almost all oil pressure. Made it home slowly and bought a Melling oil pump. I tried to make contact with the company and never received a response.

Pump worked great for about 3 days and started having oil pressure problems replaced basically every other part of oil system before looking into oil pump again. Opened up the inside to check and valve is stuck in open position which lets oil go directly back to pan instead of to motor. Save yourself the headache on a cheap pump this is my second one and it’s a huge pain to do all the labor to change this out go to the dealership and pay the extra 100 and don’t worry about it. Take it from a shade tree mechanic this part has blown one motor and almost got another after a brand new rebuild on said motor. Also the first one was a melling that’s why I say go to dealer.

Amazon's dumb questions don't apply to this oil pump - it is located in the "heart" of the engine, and so not easy to install. But the quality is good and it worked well. It raised the oil pressure on a worn Chevrolet 5.7 liter from 10psi idling up to 25 psi idling, and above 1000 rpm, it holds 70 psi now - which is great!
