Update:After further use of this keyboard, I definitely won't buy it again. Overall, it's functional, but there are little annoyances that happen often enough to make using it a far less pleasant experience.Certain keys have started requiring way too much pressure to activate reliably (Up arrow, for instance).As mentioned previously, the CAPS key state being reversed (light on means not caps, light off means caps) can be annoying at times. But what's more annoying is that the CAPS indicator light is apparently doubling as the Fn lock state. So, CAPS light on means Fn lock is on, but also CAPS is off. The Fn key has the tiny LED on it like the original keyboard does, for indicating Fn Lock state; it just doesn't do anything.Further, it just doesn't handle fast typing sometimes. Sometimes when I'm typing and there's some music or a video playing in the background, the sound will slow and distort into this buzzing sound, and the keyboard will stop responding, as if I pressed too many keys in quick succession.If I have to replace the KB again, I'd rather go back to one with the joystick mouse on it that doesn't have these same issues.This is the second time I've had to replace the keyboard on my HP EliteBook 840 G5.First, the good. And it's mostly good.I always hated the joystick mouse in the middle of the keyboard, so I was happy to see an option that didnt have it.Install was straightforward. I would just warn that the small ribbon cable needed to be black side up. The other way is apparently backward, and the keyboard will still work fine, but the backlight won't.The keys feel punchier than the last replacement keyboard I ordered, which is nice.And... unlike the last one I ordered, all the keys are correct. The last one had two "End" keys, though the End key in the Home key position still functioned correctly as Home.Deducted a start because the CAPS key state is reversed. Obviously, once you know this, you can adjust, but it's just like why can't there ever be a replacement keyboard that just works 100%.Also, the backlight is bangin, but it doesn't seem like always comes through the keys efficiently. I feel like there's more light emitting from under the keys than through the letters themselves, especially certain keys ('V', 'G', 'T', etc).Overall, still fine for the price. If coffee spills on my keyboard tomorrow, I'd probably buy this replacement again.
