The keyboard on this model is kinda difficult to replace. But if your gonna replace it this keyboard works really well. Matches the original almost exactly. The blacklight is actually a little bit brighter then the original as well!

PgUp button completely not working and Esc button is jump . Also hard to remove the old keyboard if you are not professional enough. I recommend the original one with the frame.

This keyboard should carry a large warning that it's not a simple disassembly/reassembly. You'll find that your original keyboard is held in place with plastic-welds, and is very difficult to remove, and impossible to do it non-destructively. Then to install this keyboard, you'll need to redo all the plastic welds, and find a way to replace the material that was lost on disassembly!It's more expensive, but you need to find a full assembly including the top case, which is available.Secondly, after spending hours on reinstalling this keyboard, none of the keys seem to send the correct keycodes, I'm not sure if its just not compatible or if one of the traces is broken or what. But I've had nothing but headaches with this and wish I had never bought it.

Based on the instructions I reviewed for installation, it was best to have a technician install the keyboard. It has been installed and it works very well, I am having no problems with this replacement keyboard and no one can tell that my keyboard has been replaced.

I have a Lenovo Ideapad 14ARE05. Several keys stopped working. This is the exact replacement part. It took a lot of work to install. Watch Youtube videos. Lenovo has made the disassembly particularly difficult, starting with opening the case, which uses torx screws rather than a Philips. Even with the right torx screwdriver, the screws stripped and I had to use a reverse drill bit to get them out. The laptop has to be completely stripped down to get to the keyboard, and then the keyboard is accessed by cutting about 50 little plastic tabs with a utility blade. This allowed me to remove the metal plate which holds down the keyboard, and then finally I was able to replace the keyboard. Because I do not have a plastic welder, I used a hot glue gun instead to reattach the metal retaining plate, taking care to ensure a tight fit so that the keyboard had a good tactile feel. After that assembly was the reverse of disassembly. I had labeled where all the screws inside went, and taken pictures as I was disassembling, so the assembly went smoothly. The laptop works and the keyboard is like new again. I am waiting for an order of fresh screws for the ones I stripped on the case.

Got it to replace a broken keyboard (E key came out). Tried replacing the single Key, I do not recommend. Note that these keyboards are secured with plastic rivets, watch YouTube first. Only buy from Amazon. I bought one from ebay, it came the wrong size and they would not take it back! This keyboard works perfect and matches the original color.
