Installation tips:
1. When taking out the old spacebar cover, gently lift it from the upper left corner to the upper right corner (first release the top button), then take out the old spacebar cover;
2. If the white butterfly hinge is not damaged, when installing the space key cap, first aim at the buckle at the lower end of the key cap and then gently press the upper end.(Do not press directly, the key cover or hinge is easy to break);
3. If the white butterfly hinge is damaged, please loosen the left (or right) buckle of the hinge first, and then replace the new hinge;

This is virtually impossible to work with without breaking. Just wasted $25 and have to go to Apple anyways.

This is the second spacebar I purchased on Amazon. The first one, totally different vendor, was really cheap so when I had to pull it out to reinstall it because I didn’t do it quite correctly, the little clips broke.This one, was much of a much higher quality. I had the same issue putting it in and taking it out a couple times before I got it in the correct position. None of the little clips broke!I also appreciated all the information they have in their listing for installing it. I ended up going online and viewing a YouTube video which walked me through it. I highly suggest you watched several videos before attempting. You will learn a lot about what to avoid. Saved me tossing the laptop because of the stupid space key.Extended the life of this laptop quite a bit longer. Thank you very much! Good luck to all of you who attempt this. Be patient. And be gentle while installing.

This is a very difficult part to install. Any computer repair will replace the entire keyboard for $250. It’s well worth replacing the keyboard by a professional. Do not buy this product.
