This backpack is great all the way around. It's very ruggedly made with padded, comfortable straps. It has a place for all riding essentials plus more. The helmet pouch is accommodating and secure. All in all, this riding bag is made to last and is thoughtfully designed.

The helmet storage is great for an adult sized helmet and I love the secret pockets. You can fit a LOT into this backpack. It is pretty pricey, but I get a lot of use out of it!

I recently bought a pricey new riding helmet and needed a way to transport it safely to and from the barn and horse shows. I've never seen anything like this backpack and decided to give it a try. I am impressed with the quality of the material and the construction. It seems heavy duty enough to withstand all the bumps and scrapes without damaging my helmet. I always have things to bring with me such as a change of clothes, grooming supplies or snacks, and I find that using this backpack fits the bill. Wearing it is quite comfortable thanks to the padded shoulder straps and I don't have to worry about our Pacific Northwest weather since it's water resistant. I like it so much that I'm going buy a few more to give as gifts for my horsey friends. All in all I give it two thumbs up!

This helmet backpack from Grand Prix is an easy bag to like. It's made from durable materials, inside and out, and is relatively easy to clean. The main interior compartment has a velcro strap, and is sufficiently large for storing show schedules or a clipboard. The inside of the bag is quite roomy, large enough to store a pair of shorter show boots, or to carry an extra pair of breeches, socks and even a light jacket. A few exterior compartments nicely hold a water bottle, whip and, of course, your helmet in the large front (ventilated) compartment. The overall appearance is rather understated and can be used for any discipline or level or riding. The bag feels rugged, is waterproof (although I haven't tested that yet) and is comfortable to wear.I am very happy with this bag, and would recommend it. It's a bit more expensive than other but I anticipate this being around for a while so would consider it a worthy investment.

This is a well made, durable backpack that is suitable for sporting activities as well as school or travel. It matches the measurements stated, maybe even slightly larger. The fabric is rugged, backpack material that is well constructed. It has a design that's convenient for organizing whatever you need to pack. The zippers all function smoothly and the strap hooks are easy to use and stay hooked. The back straps are adjustable and nicely padded for comfort. This would make a good bag for travel and overnight stays. This is probably too large for kids, but teenagers could use it for school. The only thing I don't care for is the logo that they've placed around the bag, but I knew it would be there from the photos. I definitely recommend this pack for the quality of workmanship, durability, roominess, and comfort of use.

This review is for the Riding Helmet Backpack.Ok so I no longer ride due too physical limitations that were not gotten in connection with any equine activities. But I used too ride/train/show horses. So when this and another backpack from this label popped into my offers I grabbed them. I was drawn mostly becasuse they looked like very well made backpacks, but I was also curious if they were worth the listed pricepoint. I'm always curious when something has a pricepoint that just doesn't seem to be in line with other products in the same general catagory. This is long, so here we go... LOL. To be transparent I also got another backpack from this brand, the Deluxe Equistrian Backpack. So right off, this is a very sharp good looking backpack, and it's a good size, almost what I would call large. While it will nicely fit my big 17.3 inch HP laptop, I prob won't carry it in this though. It's very well made with great stitching all over upon close inspection, hardware looks fine but I would note it's all plastic/nylon on this bag, zippers work well and are smooth with no sticking but again plastic/nylon. There's numerous pockets inside and out which not everyone will need all of them or be able to use them all. The outside helmet carrier actually unclips for the straps and unzips at the bottom if you don't need it.I really like the main pocket has dual pulls and opens completely so each half can lay wide open, makes for easy in/out of items. It has what is supposed to be a hidden zip pocket at the top in front of the handle, not really hidden when the zipper pull hangs down LOL. It has an open top pocket on the one side for a small water bottle and also a pocket/straps to secure a riding crop. I'm not going to detail all the pockets, you can see them in the listing. It's made with good material and while it is water resistant it's not waterproof, and it's all nylon/polyester with nylon zippers. The material is of a good thickness that it doesn't make me think it can't stand up to use/will rip out easily.... However, there's no genuine leather on it anywhere. It has a top handle to grab it by for picking it up that's attached well to the top front of the bag. It also has nice backpack straps, they're a bit thin, not much padding but they are adjustable and I like they have the nylon webbing on the back of the straps for added strength! There's a couple of plastic rings on the straps to clip something onto them.I'm a bit shocked there's no actual enclosed clip on pouch for the helmet. I suppose you're supposed to get your own plastic helmet cap or ziplock bag to protect it from dirt/dust/rain... still, for the price of this bag I feel it should be included. Or maybe they expect it to be inside the main compartment? You won't fit much else in there if so.And since this is supposed to be a unisex bag for any age, I'm not sure you're going to fit full size english riding boots in there unless you fold them over. I don't know about you, but when I was riding, while I might not have minded doing that with a pair of everyday boots I sure would not do it with a pair of good expensive leather show boots! You'll have to check your boots to see if they fit.Regular price $ 120.00 per the listing. I'm going to speak about the elephant in the room since people seem to be avoooiding it and I always give my opinion about the pricepoint.... My overall conclusion is that while this is a nice backpack that will serve some well, it's grossly overpriced! Sorry but that's how I see it. I'm not sure if it's the brand name of "Grand Prix", or the market they're targeting.... but this is made in china, and having had the lifelong involvement with the equine world I've had my share of equipment bags/boxes/trunks.... and I can say with 100% confidence that you can get well made quality bags, bigger bags, genuine leather bags... for less! So maybe watch for a sale/coupon, browse listings.... and find your very best deal! Now also understand as a handicapped short woman with a very bad back, I use a cane in my right hand and my service dog is on my left. I use backpacks/messenger/cossbody/sling bags all the time to carry my stuff securely and keep my hands free. I have a lot of bags! Some better quality than others, and while I feel fortunate to be able to participate in the Vine program and get the items I do... I will still ALWAYS give my honest unbiased opinion of them. And part of that is looking at things with a criitical eye because in the end, I'm a normal consumer just like you are... I rely on the reviews of others when I'm making my purchase decisions as I work hard to earn my $, the same as you. You may view this item with a diff eye than I do, to you it may be worth the pricepoint. If that's the case then so be it. I gave this backpack 4 stars for overall looks, construction, materials, quality... but I just couldn't go 5 with the pricepoint. As always I only do honest reviews and update if needed. I hope this helps you make the best choices how to spend your $.

With a name like "Grand Prix" this item is obviously targeted toward English riders. It's a decent backpack that has a dedicated spot for both a helmet and a crop, but fails to provide enough height for a pair of boots. But what do riders always need to carry around? Helmet and boots, that's what. This is otherwise a fairly unremarkable backpack, with decent but not outstanding fabric and stitching and cheesy plastic buckles/clips and poorly-padded straps. Given the limited actual utility of the very targeted product, I find it to be extremely overpriced at $120. As a basic backpack that can hold my helmet I would price it like my book backpack that accommodates my bicycle helmet and value it at no more than $30. Make this item with padded boot sleeves in the interior and we can revisit.
