This supply is different than the 832 in that it has 2 channels connected with a common ground. One channel produces positive voltage and the other channel produces negative voltage. However, you can combine the CH1 supply (8v) with either CH2 or CH3, both in parallel and in serial. If you connect the ground on CH1 to the positive of CH2, you can then use the output of CH3 as the ground to your project and have 3 voltages. You set CH3 to 1.8V or 3.3V, then set CH2 to 3.2V or 2.7V to get +5V, then set CH1 to 7V to get 12V output. With the output of CH3 being ground, you have 1.8/3.3V, 5V, and 12V all with independent current control. The gotcha is that all 3 supplies are connected together and their voltage output is references on the channel they are using as their ground reference.I like the green display and the current limit is really controllable, allowing you to bring up boards slowly by limiting current output to prevent frying something inadvertently.The keypad is definitely very awkward to use, the designers must have had rotary telephones well past the time Touch-Tone was adopted ;-)The 8V output on CH1 is different than most of the other supplies that top out at 5V, it's nice to have the headroom on that dedicated channel so you can compensate for regulator dropout when testing regulated 5V circuits.

Livraison RAS mais le colis avait déjà été ouvert (colis non scellé). Peut-être déjà un retour!Le produit est fonctionnel et correspond à mon besoin mais sur les 3 canaux, un (+30v) n'est pas calibré ni en tension ni en courant. Il indique au repos 10 ma et la tension est inférieure d'environ 1v à la consigne et au niveau réel mesuré avec un multimètre de laboratoire.les deux autres canaux sont très bien calibrés.Donc retour!!
