This kit is well built, and includes sizes M3, M4, M5, M6, and M8 rivet nuts. These are used for thinner metal that is too thin to use a tap and die set on. The M8 is close to 5/16 inch, so a fairly large size, but I wish the kit included M2 and M2.5 rivet nuts. I may try to find those sizes as well as spare mandrels (the spindle and nut) just in case one breaks. This does have a stopper bolt that is used to set the maximum throw or amount the rivet nut can be compressed. It depends on the thickness of the metal and the size of the rivet, so I would practice on a scrap piece of metal of the same thickness and start with the stopper bolt set to stop early such the rivet nut is not fully compressed and then keep turning the stopper nut and retrying in several stages to prevent the mandrel from breaking. It does NOT have any instructions and has no bag for the tool, but the mandrels and rivet nuts all fit in a nice case. I'll probably attach the tool to the rivet nut case with nylon webbing and a couple quick disconnects. I really like it, and would rate it a 5 star if it had instructions and if the rivet tool fit in the provided case. It would really be nice to have a larger case with everything in the case.

I got this to have on hand for working on our trailers, but the tool does not come with instructions (never used one before). Everything seems to be of a nice quality and all there. If you have used one of these before it might be perfect; however, if you are a beginner user you will need to find a video or guide to using it.

Nice set, good assortment of sizes, and plenty of them. Tool does NOT fit in case with the nuts, but the case is otherwise pretty good, it closes securely and the internals seem to do a good job of keeping the different sizes separated and organized. (I put the mandrel for each size in that sizes compartment)It did take considerable effort to secure even the smallest sizes, but this is probably inherent with a tool of this sort. The nuts that I checked were cleanly threaded, and seemed to be good quality. Overall a good value.

This is a great starter kit for metric rivnuts. The tool is easy to use and is long enough to give you the leverage needed to squeeze even the larger nuts with ease. The included carry case is durable, and is rigid enough to prevent the nuts from mixing together if dropped or shaken around. The threads on everything are smooth, making it hard to cross-thread when starting a screw. For the price, if you need an assortment of metric rivnuts, you can't go wrong with this kit.

I saw this and ordered it for my workshop so when I have a need for a replacement nut I can drill it out and replace it with a rivet nut. This is a great kit with everything you need. It has a great assortment of rivet nuts and the heavy duty rivet nut gun. It includes several mandrels of various sizes. You can also order SAE mandrels for this gun along with SAE rivet nuts. This kit is all metric rivet nuts and mandrels Which is fine with me as I do a lot of repairs on metric assemblies. This is great quality kit and works very well. You may need to look up a video for instructions if you have never used one of these rivet nut tools. These are super handy. I would order this again and recommend this to others.

Came wrapped in bubble wrap, the nut rivets in their case, the crimp tool with dies in an unmarked cardboard box, and nothing else. The threads to connect the dies to the tool are reverse left handed threads. The smallest die broke before compressing the rivet nut. The next smallest die broke as well but it compressed the rivet nut, so that was operator error applying too much pressure. The fourth die would not thread into the tool so no test. There is a stop rod to prevent applying too much pressure if you can figure out how to set it before breaking stuff.
