Most often the screen clogs not that the solenoid failed. I just replaced my solenoid but held on to the old one. I have tested the old solenoid as best I can. Everything seams great other than the clogged screen. I know I can clean the screen but the gasket would still need to be replaced. With this screen and gasket I now have a replacement OEM solenoid ready to go.

The gasket is well made. The rubber is the proper consistency and the screen material is properly adhered to the rubber. The fit into the solenoid valve is just right.Bottom line: No issues with this set. As good as OEM.**Bonus Info: If you're looking at one of these, you probably already know this but.....this little filter can cause your check engine light to come on - and then limit your RPM's to something around 2700 - putting you into "limp mode". Many videos are available on-line. If your Element is lagging or lurching when you try to accelerate (or if you threw code P2646) this is the first place to start..... it may only be that the filter is clogged with debris or you may need to replace the solenoid valve itself. Either way, it is a very easy installation, you need only a 10mm socket to remove 3 bolts. They are a little hard to reach, but you can do this yourself and save unnecessary shop fees.
