About this item

  • The Monarch's lightweight design not only delivers silky smooth travel, but thanks to a redesigned Solo Air spring with updated damping controls, it also delivers a spring rate you'd generally only get from a much heavier coil shock
  • So you get a durable, fully adjustable shock capable of smoothing out the most aggressive trails, while simultaneously saving you weight for epic cross country riding
  • The Monarch RT3 features external rebound and 3-Position compression adjustment (Open/Pedal/Lock).
  • Fast Black hard anodized, forged aluminum body with sag gradients
  • RT3 shocks feature external rebound and 3-Position compression adjustment (Open/Pedal/Lock), Solo Air lets you add air to your shock through a single Schrader valve, filling both the positive and negative air spring chambers simultaneously

This is one of the only shocks that fits my 2012 specialized stumpjumper fsr comp. It bolted right up without having to buy an aftermarket yolk. Also came with the bushings new from rockshox!
Can you hear me now?

I blew out the shock on my StumpJumper for like the 3rd time, and if you rebuild your own shocks then you know each rebuild lasts half as long as the last one - so it was time to replace the shock. This shock is a direct replacement for the stock shock - and finding something that fits a 14 year old bike can be a pain - especially since Specialized had to use their own sized bushings... Anyway - the shock is great. The reviews of it range from great to garbage - with the people calling it garbage also calling the people who like it beginners. Um, yeah - I'm going to buck that trend because I am in no way a beginner - and I like it. It IS different than what came with the bike, and it isn't quite as plush across different ranges of terrain because it's rebound isn't very progressive from low speed to high speed bumps. Yeah, really - if you want to pay several hundreds of dollars more to get that them more power to you brother - but I'll take this one. The setup and user manuals were online - but no longer exist - so I'll give you the Readers Digest version to make this shock rock for you. Once installed - set the PSI the same as your weight, and turn the rebound dial 5 clicks from fast or from slow (5 of 10 ). With the lockout toggle switch lever to the left (4 o'clock), push the rubber o-ring on the lower body up past the marks for the sag - and then ride it and bounce down on it a bit.then look at where the o-ring was pushed down to. If it is from 30 to 50% sag - then go ride. I like it at 30%, others like 50% to have a more plush ride and get more travel. I jump more curbs than stumps - but I ride hard and not bottoming out my suspension is important to me (I don't like replacing wheels). If you ride hard and want to make sure it is doing it's best for you - then air it up or down 10% and ride it and see if you like it better. If you like it - go more - if you don't like it then try back the other way. Check the sag when you have it where you like it so you will know where your sweet spot is. Then check the rebound by moving it 2 clicks one way or the other, and one more if you like it (go the other way if you didn't like it). For most people - half way on the rebound, and your weight as the psi will be close enough.

Material defectuoso, el amortiguador no bloquea. Después de pagar a un mecánico para su instalación, lo tengo que volver a desmontar para devolverlo.
