I like it. Used it only a few times, attached to a backpack. I gave it 4 stars because I've barely had any time with it. I imagine it'll be fine. At the moment, I use it to lug a 32oz Yeti mug. Its doing the job so far.

I bought one of these to put on my motorcycle saddle bag to carry a water bottle. I liked it so much I bought a second one for my backpack/hunting gear. It is very durable. All the straps are adjustable with velcro, including the bottom or "floor" of the holder, so you can adjust how deep a cup or bottle will sit in it. The velcro is strong, the molle strap on the back has a good sturdy snap. The elastic hold down on the top is a nice touch but I have never had to use it. I just adjust the straps so they are snug on whatever bottle I carry. Great value and super handy.

I wanted to use this as a back up water bottle holder and attach it to the molle grid on the back of the passenger seat in my Bronco. Way to difficult to thread it into the grid, and when I did, it was either too loose and flopped around, or too tight and kept coming un-done.I'll see if I can get part of my money back by selling it on eBay.

This is the old adage about a jack of all trades butaster of none, being better than a master of one. I have it strapped to my day pack that I carry to work and wherever. It does the job, keeping hold of anything I need. Large water bottles or small, sodas, whatever. It doesn't look pretty and it's never a perfect fit for anything, but so far it's been capable of everything I've needed of it.

This thing is pretty awesome. Bought it initially to add an outside bottle holder to a small pack that had molle webbing on it. Works perfect for this, weave the webbing through correctly and it's on as secure as can be. Adjust the velcro straps and my 24oz water bottle stays snugly held, but can slide in and out without too much hassle. Could easily hold a bigger 32oz nalgene if I wanted to.I like that this isn't a pouch like so many others, not a lot of unnecessary fabric and weight.I really appreciated this item when I realized my larger pack had a couple of horizontal loops of webbing on one of the shoulder straps. Tried attaching this to it, over the top loop on the strap, under the middle loops on the bottle holder, over the bottom loop on the strap, snap it shut and I had a super-stable, super convenient water bottle holder on my pack strap. No more trying to reach back behind me, or sling my pack around to get water.I'm going to be picking a couple more of these up, and adding horizontal webbing onto any pack straps that don't already have it.Have two of these, used them for several months now and never had one come unsnapped, much less come loose from the molle weave. The one I use most is on a sling pack, and hangs off the lower side at an angle all the time. Doesn't come unsnapped, and my water bottle is never at risk of falling out either.

ORIGINAL REVIEW--With one weave through a small loop on my Gregory Z65 backpack's left shoulder strap, the snap working properly and securely, and the added support of two lengths of Velcro (that probably cost me $1) around the carrier and that same backpack shoulder strap, this carrier held very tight on its first 16 mile hike. It was perfectly placed and easy to grab on the move (especially, since my main water supply was under my pack's rain cover), and the water in the 500ml bottle (the smallest bottle the carrier will hold) didn't even slosh around! UPDATED REVIEW--Over a year and 500 miles of backpacking later, I was so pleased I bought a second one! The first is still perfect; no wear, no slippage, no worries! I've also started using 700ml Smart Water bottles. So, I now have one on my left and one on my right shoulder straps ... one for water, one for Gatorade. TWO OF MY BEST EVER BACKPACKING BUYS!!!

The snap button on this does not hold well and is very insecure. I ordered two of these and both of them have the same issue.I purchased these to hold a water bottle and spare fuel bottle, mounted horizontal across my motorcycle tail back.I nearly lost my fuel bottle on my first test ride. I pulled off, rethreaded the strap through the molle loops and made the rest of the trip without loosing my fuel. However, the snap continued to pop open, thank goodness for the proper lacing in the molle loops.Eventually, I removed these as they were not very secure.

I purchased this item to attach a small fire extinguisher to the back seat cover in my FJ cruiser. This it does, thanks to some reinforcements, so I guess the purchase was a limited success. I do, however, have some issues with the product. First, it does not actually weave through the MOLLE webbing as there are no lateral straps on the holder. This puts all the strain of holding the water bottle, or in my case fire extinguisher, on the snap at the bottom of the strap. This brings us to the second point, the snap is not very strong. I guess I expected a pull the dot snap, or somesuch, but that is not the case. As is, the snap cannot hold the water bottle in place, and comes on snapped with even regular driving on city streets. I have solved these problems by wrapping duct tape around the straps, simulating the weaving that would happen on an actual MOLLE product. In addition, I filled the snap with Loctite. Since reinforcing the fire extinguisher holder in this way, it has held solidly. As this was the only product I could find that was sized suitably to hold my fire extinguisher, I am willing to jury rig it in this manner. Still, one wishes that were not necessary.
