Very good tone with good muting. I've tried three different brands of rubber mutes and for my ears, this one sounds the best. It's also a bit thinner than some giving a bit better view of the strings.

Definitely muzzles the sound, however my mute was a bit difficult to place onto the bridge, almost seemed as if it were slightly too small.

I've always used the metal mutes and only bought this for a student on a budget. Turns out to be a very good mute. Good sound dampening without distortion (almost as good as the metal), very light and easy to use. Especially nice to not worry about a clumsy beginner dropping it on the instrument! Definitely recommend.

Great mute made of softer rubber than other mutes. Does a great job of dampening your practice sessions. Much better than some other brands on Amazon!
