I own a small engine shop and I purchased this to replace the damaged coil on a customer’s 40 year old snowblower. I tested the coil with my tried and true tester https://amzn.to/40FhGp7 and determined the coil needed replaced. When you mount this (or any) small engine coil, use a business card to set the gap between the coil aperture and the flywheel magnets for the perfect gap.

This replacement coil works well. Make sure you know what the correct gap is for your engine. Typically .010but check to be sure. When properly gapped (clearance from flywheel magnet) it produces a robust spark.

This should work with my Tecumseh 10hp generator. Working on getting it set right. Buy an on/off switch everything should work. Easy to install way better then the original. This will fit other engines so do your homework. Double check and check again. Make sure of engine number. Not the product number. Get a good set of gauges. Make sure of the gap. I’m having to try different ones due to the age and how it was kept.

It got my roto-tiller running again. When you install it, you need to set the gap between the ignition coil and the flywheel. Use a piece of plastic milk carton - it's the correct thickness.

The OEM coil was old and starting to run hot. The replacement installed in minutes. Up and running right away!
