I'm a ~150lb, 5'10" woman who typically wears a size Large or 12 in women's clothing. My waist is about 34" at the moment, and I went with a Medium in these pants based on their size chart.They fit great. They're comfortable, the pockets are nicely deep, and they feel neither too loose nor too tight. As my husband noted, they're not exactly the most FLATTERING pants, but I would plan to match this with a tunic covering most of the butt anyway, so I don't care. The pants rest at my belly button at my height, so I suspect much taller individuals could get away with wearing these too for the same waist line.The sewn-in label on them does say 100% cotton for material, which is nice. I cannot tell you how many "cotton" clothing listings turned out to be made of polyester when I got them in person. This is legit, though I do question how the silky pocket lining could be cotton. With that in mind, I don't plan to ever put these in the dryer. I don't want them to shrink. Hang dry it is!The pants also smell okay on arrival, which makes sense given they're cotton.I am calling them pseudo-period pants because they have a zipper in addition to the buttons and pockets. Zippers are not Renaissance, but... I don't care. They're comfy, they look the part enough, and I'd probably wear a tunic over the whole waist area anyway.Very comfy pants! Fit well according to size chart for me, and actually 100% cotton! Might want to plan to hang-dry these to prevent shrinkage.

I was having a hard time with pants being too big on the ankle area. I wanted to get these to tuck into my military boots.FABRICThese are medium to lightweight cotton woven fabric. The black is nice and is not see through. It does wrinkle, but if you iron them with lightweight starch, they will hold up through several wearings.STYLEThe style of these pants is really nice. The tucks on the front are flattering and open up the front for movement and room. The back is elastic. That allows for comfort in movement and sitting. The ankles are adjustable but the ties at the top allow for tucking in boots which is what I wanted. They also work with gladiator sandals too.FITI wear a womens size 16 misses US. I got these for my husband who wears XL in pants, but these fit me too. The crotch is dropped which is really nice. They don't cut into you when you sit. The waist measures about 36 inches and stretches to 38 inches. There is pleny of hip room.THE BOTTOM LINEAlthough these are for costume, I wear these for casual wear for certain looks.MY RATINGFIVE STARS. Whether you are a guy looking for a pirate look, or someone like me or my husband who would wear unique styles, these pants are pretty nice. The back seam is not too bad, but some might find it a bit low if you are shorter.

You don't have to do cosplay to enjoy these pants. They are comfortable to wear and are breathable. The fabric is high quality. I liked them so much I got few in different colors.

These are very nice pants for costumes and Ren Faire! The cuffs have eyelets in the fabric for the lace to weave through, and the pants are cinched with buttons instead of being tied off. There's also some elasticicity in the waistband to accommodate a few extra inches on the waist if you need them!Great pants, comfortable, and they breathe, which is essential for all-day wear! I highly recommend these.

Bought these for a Renaissance look, stayed for the cloud-like comfort. They’ve got pockets (bless), a stretchy waist, and lace-up ankles that make you feel like a swashbuckling fashion icon. They're 100% cotton, so breathable—but beware: they will try to escape your laundry by shrinking if you use a dryer. Bonus: they somehow work for costumes and quirky everyday outfits. Just embrace the low crotch and the “I might joust later” vibe.
