I didn't realize how bad my old compressor was . This new one is amazing I have to turn the temp up. Even in the Texas Heat!

Bought this and after I installed it we got the A/C charged up but the compressor never worked. Clutch is bad and I already threw the box away so I could entertain returning it. I thought what I was buying was new turns out remanufactured. Definitely would not have bought this had I known 1. It was a remand product, 2. The clutch being defected. Now I gotta spend almost the same amount on just a clutch to get this to work complete bs

It fixed my issue. It’s an OEM spec entirely. Lines up perfect and fit just right. It you have a cateye Chevy Silverado just know that you will have to replace your high pressure valve before you recharge the system.

"Easy to install" depends on your vehicle. On my Avalanche, it was a major pain. Once installed, it works, but my AC isn't blowing too cold. However, I don't think it is the compressors fault; I think the condenser needs to be cleaned.

I was skeptical because this was priced lower than any other AC compressor but I'm glad I went with RYC. At first I was worried since it was missing the back plug for the high pressure switch, but I called their support department and they told me it actually was not necessary and better without it and gave me easy instructions on how to bypass it (just cut the plug off and wirenut the wires together). he only complaint is that I wish those instructions were included in the box. Kept my 2002 Avalanche nice and cool all the way to Tennessee and back on a 1400 mile road trip. Not noisy at all. The most important part of doing AC work is to use the right tools and do it properly. Evacuate the system, flush the lines, and pull a vacuum with a motorized pump and manifold gauges to get rid of any air or moisture and check for leaks. I did that and had no problems whatsoever. Thanks again!
