Got it working good by slightly bending the wires by pushing up the red plastic thing. You have to adjust that until the wheel spins correctly. The red plastic piece is adjustable. Push it up farther if you need to squeeze the wires closer together. But the wheel is red (not blue as pictured)

Bought this one mostly for me. For my fond childhood memories and to help me enjoy some fun while doing my physical therapy for a rebuilding my abilities from a broken wrist. It really helps keep my mind focused on the wrist twists and turns and off the discomfort and makes the work easy.Of course I also will let my grandchild play with it soon. I can see how it will help develop both his mind attention, physical coordination and focus. Great toy for all ages.

I originally bought some cheaper light up versions of this, but you get what you pay for, so I returned those and bought this instead. It's smooth and mesmerizing, never getting caught on some bump or poor spacing in the rail and requiring little effort to continue the "magic" movement.

This review is for the Schylling Brand Classic Gyro Wheel Toy.These were stocking stuffers for two small children 7 and 4. They are not hard on their toys, but one of these broke within the first day of it being opened. The wheel was dropped from not higher than about 2.5". It should not have been a problem, but the gyro wheel is much more fragile than expected and came apart at its seams. It turns our there is a small magnet inside of the wheel hub. It came out and cannot be found, so we have a small magnet somewhere on the floor. One top is no longer functional. I am really disappointed with this toy and caution parents of small children as this has small magnets that can break from the toy and potentially be swallowed which, if you've seen the news lately, you know can be very dangerous.

Good the kid enjoyed it, the hand rail is sturdy and the magnetic axel of the wheel is well fitting on the rail. The wheel fits snugly on the rail even in the moderate speed.

The toy works, very fun and educational for my 4 year old. Only thing I did not like is that the construction/quality is not what I expected, it seems pretty flimsy. Other defect I observed is that the red tab which moves up or down to control distance between two wire rails is not well placed. If you move it up to reduce distance between wire rail then it starts bumping into the rotating wheel. If you move it down, now the distance between wire rail is too large for the wheel axle to ride on it. It just has to be right, there is very tiny margin of error!!!
