I bought this to wrap some Christmas gifts this year. The tape is perfect for gift wrapping. There were a few times were I wanted to adjust the tape while I was wrapping and I was able to carefully peel it off from the wrapping paper and reapply. It did not tear the paper when I did this. Also I want to make note that it has the perfect amount of adhesive for the job. It sticks and does not come off on its on. I will continue to buy this item for future gift wrapping jobs.
