I had fully intended to select one of the other options given for this belt buckle, other than the Masonic Version. So I have not worn it but I can't attest to the quality of the make. It appears to be quite a solid belt buckle. The details and picture on it are easy to make out and look quite well done. It looks like a pretty good belt buckle for the price. I wish I wouldn't have mistakenly selected this version. One that I not only would never wear but, frankly, very much dislike the representation of. But the product itself is certainly a value for the price.

Don't know how I got so lucky as to find this with the EGA - I absolutely love it! It's got a really nice, solid weightiness to it. It's not entirely symmetrical (if you were to pay real close attention), but that just adds to its handmade appearance and charm. The materials are high quality and well made. The EGA is bolted on, but consistent with the rest of the buckle. The celtic patterns are intricate and beautiful. Note that the color is brighter than the picture listed (see my photos for comparison) - it looks much more like the Dragon, Shamrock and Thistle pictures.I cannot recommend this highly enough - 1,000% worth it!

This is exactly what I wanted. While I am a female and this is marketed at male kilt wearers, this is a high quality well made belt buckle. My background in is a minor in applied arts: silversmithing, weaving, lapidary stone-cutting, enamel-work, etc... and this is really heavyweight casting. It is well cast and made. While I know only a small amount about leather working I have some crafting friends I can get to help me make either a belt or maybe even a bag for this buckle. There are leather belt blanks you can buy,and do please get real leather for this top quality made buckle.i would like this as an art piece alone. I also have Scottish, Irish and Welsh ancestry. This buckle has the Welsh dragon on it so I really want to add it to my historical reenactment gear. a traditional historical kilt requires a strong belt and buckle because it is all held op, and in place by its belt. This heavyweight buckle would not be a failure point. It should last a lifetime of constant use, much less the weekend use by me. I would give this to any person of Welsh ancestry or kilt wearer. I am certain my friend who wears kits to our mutual workplace everyday will want to get one of these for his utility kit belt he wears to work.There are no void in the casting, or soft spots so this would be nice for a formal occasion as well of you are not a shinny person, but like quality that will last forever. This is a simple, classic, timeless design perfectly designed, engineered, executed and manufactured perfectly. What more is there to say, since my background is silversmithing and I am a hobbyist historical reeinactor who has won awards for metalwork and weaving items I have made for my use.

I ordered this Scottish Kilt Belt Buckle Thistle Antique Finish, Highland Kilts Buckle for Men for my husband, who enjoys wearing his kilts and showing his Scots/Irish/Celtic heritage.This belt buckle shows a dragon that looks similar to the one on the flag of Wales. My family has roots in Wales, and one of my husband’s and my favorite spots in the world is in Wales, so I couldn’t resist getting this for him.The buckle is made from brass, the pattern is intricate and three dimensional. There is a dragon at the center of the buckle, it is surrounded by Celtic chain designs. Each corner of the buckle has a round Celtic knot pattern. The interplay between light and shadow, shine and darkness is striking.I got this to pop into my husband’s Christmas stocking; I know he’ll love wearing this with his kilt. I was impressed with the detail of the design and I love the dragon motif.
