I have a smaller convex mirror in my tight garage that helps me park without sideswiping something. So I ordered this larger unit, thinking it would be an upgrade to my 15" mirror. It is: the view of the front of my car is much wider and that makes it all the easier to park. But because I have experience with how another (smaller) mirror was constructed, I was surprised to discover how much lighter this 24" mirror was -- and then even more surprised to find out why. In brief, the mirrored acrylic film is apparently without any supportive backing! If you push lightly on it, it will deform with virtually no resistance. I can't say just how far it will depress, because I did not want to destroy the mirror. But the unsupported film puckers slightly around the rim and distorts the reflection there, too. Finally, despite arriving with protective film over the mirror surface, there were numerous micro-scratches on the mirror itself -- easily seen in the accompanying photos.Mounting this mirror differed from others I've owned. No ball-socket. Rather, a twofold design that allows tilt and swivel. Mounting on a wall or pipe would be easy. Mounting on the diagonal struts in my garage was harder. In sum, the image is good at a distance, but I'm hard-pressed to believe this unsupported film is likely to last or tolerate any serious impact, and the micro-scratches seem inexcusable -- especially at this price.

Not an outdoor mirror, thin cheap plasitc. No way this would work in any outdoor environment any wind would tear the plastic right off the mount. rip-off.

It is flimsy and all plastic- ok for I doors but definitely not for exterior. The mirror surface is not structurally supported film. The wind will rip it apart. Not at all what I was expecting

We back out of our driveway into a gravel road that neighborhood kids love to bike down, and there's a thick hedge that makes it hard to see when they're coming, so I got this to help give me a warning if one of them is coming around the corner. It took a bit to find the right spot to put it so it could give me a good angle while backing up, without being in the way of the car, but otherwise installation was easy. I mounted it up high on a pole and the brackets+fasteners it came with worked great and were pretty flexible for attaching to lots of structures. It's nice and light which made mounting even easier. It's decent quality, thin plastic that flexes easily (even the "mirror" itself) which sounds bad but actually works well because it is happy to pop right back into shape even if you dent it with an impact. I think it'll survive well. The hood helps to rain/snow off the mirror which helps with visibility, especially if it's tilted downward just a little bit.Overall very happy with it, especially for the solid price.

Wanted this to get a view of my garage door and front door. I always leave not remembering if I closed the garage. My doorbell camera pics up the reflection. Being 24 in I’m able to see both the front door floor and the garage. This isn’t its permanent spot. Still deciding placement. Comes with all the hardware. Not actual glass but foil. Super light. If it falls from wind or storm there will not be any broken glass.

SecurityMan Model: SMCONVEXMIR24 24 Inch CONVEX WATER RESISTANT PLASTIC MIRROR with plastic housing includes Metal Mounts with Mounting Hardware and User Instructions. Warranty = One (1) Year.Customer Service Contact Information details provided in User Instructions and Warranty information. The mirror arrives with protective film cover over the mirror. With this removed the mirror image is still not bright and clear ( in my opinion ). Mirror material is plastic and if pressed will deflect (Move) in and does “pop” back out. A place on edge is pushed in and has stayed permanently in that position. This was acquired to see tight position between vehicles for parking. It works for me to see the larger areas.Mirror arrives requiring minor assembly. No tools included. The bolt/nut assemblies are NOT locking style. I addedlock-washers on the movable section and this area tight, secure and does not move. Assembly in my experience is best if ALL HARDWARE for the mounting brackets left loose until FINAL position determined. Tighten but NOT over tighten (4) bolts that mount two brackets to installed nuts in back of mirror. With provided brackets and hardware, mirror mounted to wood upright. Result— operationally, Up/Down and Side to Side - Mirror adjustable with no issue.Three ⭐️⭐️⭐️ Star Thank you for looking at my REVIEW that I hope you find Informative and HELPFUL! 😀

This convex mirror provides me a broader view of the surrounding area, helping me spot approaching vehicles, pedestrians, little children or cyclists on the pathway. I do not have a reverse camera in my car, by increasing visibility, convex mirrors can help avoid accidents and near-misses, especially in the corner with limited visibility. There is no glass used, just plastic which makes it very light. 24 inches is a perfect size. It comes with various attachments, but I end up just tying it on to my basketball hoop. The mirror seem durable but made with plastic, which can easily be scratched. however it keeps it light in weight, as such I will rate it mostly positive for anyone who is considering a Convex Driveway Mirror within this price range.

This mirror is nice and large, providing a good view over a distance. It is lightweight and made entirely of plastic, so it should be handled with care. Installation is very easy, and the mirror offers good clarity. It mounts securely, but I’m unsure if it will withstand strong winds, as it doesn’t seem durable enough. Overall, it's still a good mirror that serves its purpose well.
