the DHT component is a common electronics component you can incorporate into your digital electronics projects to obtain the ambient temperature of the environment it operates within.Works great with the raspberry pi and arduino.Easy to (physically) install in the breadboard. Easy enough to interface with in software.

we got this to track temps in our freezer to let us know if it ever starts to get warmer aka the freezer goes out. So far it has been accurate and seems to be doing well. It was pretty easy to set up. good investment for peace of mind without costing too much.

I'll keep buying DHT11 for 2.50 instead of these for 11.00. The actual humidity is 36%. The DHT11 calls it 42. The DHT22 calls it 45! Huh? 8.00 more and it it 1% farther off.

I'm using this sensor with an arduino for a thermostat project. The readings have been more than accurate enough for my use. I like that the dht22 has a wider reading range over the dht11 sensor. The board is fairly small so it be easy to fit into a 3d printed case

I tested the DHT22 on an Arduino using code I found from an internet search. I was able to get the temperature and humidity levels in my room to be displayed on an LCD. The temperature value seemed to be quite accurate. The humidity level was different than the value I have from a humidity monitor display I have on my wall, but I always felt that monitor was wrong in the first place. I need to research how I can validate what the correct humidity level is. The main purpose I ordered this sensor was to put together an Arduino solution that will alert me when the temperature outside is below 40F. At that temperature I need to either turn on an outdoor heater or bring our rather large guinea pig inside our house from his two floor outdoor coop. I was pleased to see how easy it was to get a temperature reading and expect to finalize the alert solution any day now.

This was easy to use and worked well for my project. It's a good price as well.

DHT sensors contain a capacitive humidity sensor, and a thermistor, the embedded circuitry provides conversion from analog measurements to a digital discrete output. This sensor type, for Temperature and Humidly general com in two flavors: DHT11 and DHT22 (this product), the DHT11 is the lower cost brother to DHT22 and provides a much lower accuracy and usable range.I replaced my Arduino DHT11 sensors with DHT22, including this product. Most of my sensors are located outdoors in an area with wide temperature ranges. The DHT11 sensor will only measure temperature to a low value of 0 degrees Celsius which we frequently surpass on the low end. The DHT22 sensor (this product is rated down to -20 degrees Celsius. In addition to range, the temperature accuracy of the DHT22 is +/- .1 degree, the DHT11 is a whopping 1 degree.*I tested this particular product using a calibrated digital freezer thermometer on the low end, and a calibrated thermocouple on the high end. The Cold measurement was within .08 degree, and the high end was within .11 degree. Excellent readings for such a low priced deviceArduino Users: Ditch your old DHT11 sensors and replace with this DHT22. The price difference is small for the tradeoff in accuracy and useable range.

This is a sensor known to be extremely reliable, a bit of a standard for industrial uses. I used the DHT22 for monitoring temp and humidity in cabinets handing 1600v DC passing through IGBT banks so the environment needs to be in very specific conditions or it MUST be derated. If this sensor works so well in those conditions, it works for me in my home projects! This module is just too easy. Adafruit has a DHT sensor library which works perfectly. This gives you full functionality to this sensor while only utilizing a single IO pin (must be digital)... If you chose to multiplex, even better! You can run up to 16 single wire sensors like this utilizing only 4 IO pins.Initial testing has shown this little sensor to be very accurate for temperature. I live in the desert and don't have any accurate measurement tools for humidity.

I recently purchased the DHT22 from SHILLEHTEK for my Raspberry Pi and Arduino projects, and I'm genuinely impressed. The sensor's compatibility is seamless, and it works flawlessly, providing accurate readings consistently.
