This is a beautifully chromed solid brass ball adapter. It comes with everything you need to install it on your shower arm, even if you don't have any tools. It has an advantage of adding a couple of inches of length to put the shower head a little lower and a bit further in to the shower. I like this because I get less spray raining in to my hanging shower caddy and shower supplies. It does not have as much direction adjustment as I thought it would. It rotates 360 degrees alright, but only has about 13 degrees of directional control. The listing does not provide this information and the photo in the listing looks like it has more adjustment than this. It operates very smoothly, and the ball socket resistance can be adjusted if it leaks or if you need to hold up a heavy shower head. Good product.

No complaints at this point (I just now installed it). I used this swivel to increase the downward angle of my hand held shower head...I have a small shower enclosure & previous trajectory was to the back wall.Plenty of teflon tape included along with an extra washer. Adjusted properly there are no leaks...easy installation. Wrench included used for fixed (upper) end. Hex adjusters for ball swivel tension appears to be 1 1/4" (2 tools required). I used a 12 inch crescent wrench & a pair of channel locks (gently to avoid marring the surface). Appears to be well machined...very happy with this product

Very loose. Instructions say to tighten nut if it gets loose (guess they are anticipating that), but I've tightened it all the way. I'm afraid if it loosens any more it won't be functional. Time will tell.
