I appreciate how quickly the seller got these to me. They were also packed very well. However, they were basically like cardboard out of the box. The leather was very dry and mine were curled badly, especially at the ends. I put several light coats of a quality conditioner on them over the course of a couple of days, and then put the ends under a weighted board to try to get them to uncurl. After all that, they still came out curled and decently dry. Better, for sure. But not what I would want to use. I let them hang for a while, not wanting to overwork them. I thought maybe gravity would work it out. They started to curl more as they dried again, so I went at them again with a different, more heavy duty conditioner. They came out better, but it will be a slow process of conditioning them properly without overdoing it. So, bottom line, if you want to get them and use them immediately: well, I hope you don't mind using curly cardboard leather. If you don't mind putting effort into getting them worked and conditioned properly, then these are actually very nice looking. Do note that the tooling is only at the end that connects to your bit. They are a great length and the color was nice and rich otherwise.

Nice reins - wish they were pre-oiled.
