Fit my little hand held thermal so I can mount it on my .17. easy mount/dismount and seems to hold zero fairly well.

Packaged excellent. There is no specified torque for ring cap screws. I contacted Sightmark and they provided me with torque of 22-25 in/lbs for screws. The mount/rings installed easily as was IR mounted and secured.

I wanted a lower QD mount to cowitness the lower Swiss sights on my SIG556. This fits the bill perfectly. It seems to be made pretty well, and is nice and sturdy. My only minor gripe is that the locking lever is pretty stiff to manipulate and adjust. It was fine once I found the sweet spot, it makes me wonder if it's going to last very long. Pretty minor issue considering the price.

the mount is really well made! It has a fabric inner layering that helps to apply friction to the scope evenly.

Good quality. My only complaint is that the locking arm is HUGE and sticks out a good 1/3 of an inch when fully closed.

The idea of a quick disconnect mount can be pretty attractive, especially for optics that are frequently moved from one platform to another, like night vision scopes. I bought a pair of these to go on a Photon XT night scope, which is also made by Sightmark. I mounted 30mm rings on a 30mm tube and tightened the screws to the specs recommended by the manufacturer, everything should be legit, right? Nope.On each side of the scope rings are three screws, that when tightened secure the two pieces of the ring together, therefore clamping the scope securely between the two halves. What actually happens with these rings is that the metal around two of the three screws on each side breaks. This happened to both sides of both rings. There's enough tension with the remaining screw to keep the scope mounted and appear functional.I put a few boxes of shells through my rifle, thinking I had a mounting base issue or a problem with the scope. I learned the hard way. Don't waste your time with these rings. Move on a buy a quality set.

If you purchase this ring and a Streamlight Multi Ops 3AAA flashlight that has UV, Red dot laser and led light you can mount this on the front of your AR 15, select the combo mark on the switch and have a jam up sight that will work great in close quarters. The combo switch will burn the 5 LED flashlight and the red dot laser at the same time and all for around $60.00
