My wife and I were skeptical when we saw this product online. We purchased it anyway and are very glad we did.It actually used the Popcorn button on the microwave and pops a perfect bowl of popcorn. Works everytime. Amazing!

The popcorn is easy to make in this in the microwave. It comes clean in the dishwasher, and stores well when you fold it. The popcorn is fresh and delicious and clean up a breeze.

Like how it folds so it is easy to store. Easy to use and clean. Like that the company cares about our environment.

My first try with this silicone popper was in our 1200 watt GE microwave. Started and popped OK. I waited for the pops to slow down to once every second or two. Before I got there I noticed smoke billowing from the device. I had made that Cajun favorite, blackened popcorn. So I began to experiment. I tried the popcorn setting. I noticed that causes the MV to run at max for 30 seconds or so and then back off to 80%. But it quit too soon. So I found I could extend the time with a certain button. Tried that and kerblooey, the MW blew up. Didn't actually explode, it just died, permanently with an odor of electrical fault. Coincidence? Maybe.Off to the store to get a new unit. This time a cheap LG, also 1200 watts. I tried using its popcorn button. It ran to completion but result was slightly burned. Apparently the LG is sensing something to complete the cycle. It goes into a 30 second countdown to finish. So subsequently I terminate the process with 15 seconds remaining. Result, no burning, nicely popped kernals, 80 old maids. This was using 1/4 cup of Orville's corn.Regarding the coincidence comment, the LG manual says "Do not use popcorn popping devices in microwave oven with this feature". They are referring to the popcorn mode feature here. So is it bad for the machine to use this silicone device? I used the Presto Powerpop device in the deceased micro for many years with no issue. I don't know why using a device would be any different than the bagged stuff except that the latter contains about a half cup of some goo derived from petroleum or something to simulate butter or something.

This popper is half the size of our old one. Very disappointing.

Stir 1 Tbs of a avocado oil into 1/3 cup of popcorn in this bowl and pop it into the microwave for 2 1/2 minutes. Perfect popcorn every single time. I also use 1Tbs of bacon fat to 1/3 cup of popcorn and it gives it a yummy porky flavor. I’ve made different flavors of popcorn using a light dusting of onion powder or maybe garlic powder. (I found that garlic salt is too salty) Try melting 2Tbs Of real butter and a light dusting of nutritional yeast.. just so many options. My popcorn tastes air popped and I can use less oil than in a frying pan. DO NOT USE SOAP TO CLEAN! I did it once and I had to wash it twice to get the soapy smell/taste out of it. Now it’s super easy to wash. Just use hot water and wipe clean. It folds away for easy storage. So if this wasn’t enough to convince you to get it, DID YOU KNOW, that commercial made microwave popcorn has plastics line the paper bag that will heat up and leach into that fake butter sauce? It will clog up your liver and your body can’t digest it. So it ends up stored in your fat tissues and takes years to get out of your system. Don’t buy commercial bagged microwave popcorn. This bowl will be a game changer at movie nite. I promise, if it isn’t then there is something wrong with you!

Now that I've done some experimenting, here's what I learned:First off, we have a pos old GE microwave. Maybe 1kw, I dunno... GE were so proud of it they didn't even put a model or serial number on it.It has a 'Popcorn' setting which amounts to 2:20 on high (100% duty cycle).Store brand bulk popcorn:I tried two different 'store' brands.Dollop of oil and corn up to the second line. It's still popping at the end of the 'popcorn' cycle.Add time and a few more pop but many more burn.End up with burnt popcorn and ~30% old maids.Halved the quantity of popcorn. Still some burning and too many old maids.Only way I found to pop the store brand stuff was pop it dry.No oil at all. Just corn, up to the first line.Pops up nice. Light, fluffy and few unpopped.Switched to the name brand corn and what a difference.Little oil, lot 'o oil, doesn't matter.Messed around with popcorn amounts and settled on one quarter cup."Popcorn" setting on the microwave (2:20), +:30 seconds.(I suppose I could just press 250 on the keyboard, but that's one more button press!)Popping will slow down toward the end of 2:20 but let it go. Two or three seconds between pops is ok.I've let it run all 2:50 and it'll have just started to burn a couple. Stopped popping ~15 seconds before that.Fills the popper to the brim, with just a few unpopped. You can pop less than a quarter cup, if you (really?) want less popcorn.Any more than a quarter cup just results in more old maids.Popping multiple bowls of corn is not a problem.Dump out the popped, another shot of oil, another quarter cup of corn and go.I ordered two more poppers yesterday to give to sis and the folks.
