The kit and video was plenty to get my speakers re-foamed. The parts are perfect size. In the video they show applying the foam to the front side of the speaker cone, but on mine, the foam was applied to the back side of the cone, so I tried this instead.I'd recommend installing, then removing the foam a few times before you try it with the glue, so you can judge how you'll install the foam with glue on it. Plan ahead! When doing it this way, I decided to glue the foam to the cone (backside) first, then later come back and glue the foam to the speaker frame (the easy part). I also recommend, as others, to clear the screw holes of the foam before reinstalling. Not a big deal to do, while the speaker is away from the cabinet. I used an Exacto knife with #11 blade to do this task. Main thing is, I'm now happy again with my speakers!!

Reasonably easy to use by anyone with patience and some handyman skills. When the included instructions are used along with the on-line video by simplyspeakers.com; most people should be able to re-foam a speaker cone. Take your time. Work slowly. Set aside 4+ hours for the project. Add a flashlight to the list of tools so you can see to work under the 4 brackets. Forget about the chisel that is recommended! Use a somewhat dull pocket knife instead to remove the old foam. Prepare for a sticky mess! Add a pencil (eraser end), table knife (curved handle end) or similar round tool for pressing down the glue edge. Works great! Go easy on the rubbing alcohol as you can distort the paper cone. There is enough glue provided for more than 4 speakers in each 2-speaker kit. I prefer this kit, with the specially made rubber/nitrile glue, to those using what is just enhanced white glue. I am a little suspicious of the holding power of the white glue ten years from now.

Arrived as planned. I watched the video and followed the directions and I guess everything is ok. I tried to glue the foam under the face of the woofer instead of on top. After it dried it seemed to separate a little giving the appearance of a gap. As far as I can tell I have a solid glue band around the woofer paper but it dies not look as good as I hoped. They sound fine and the bass is clear and not muddy so I guess I did it ok.

Great kit. Fits exactly as promised. I watched the You Tube video for instructions. It is not a difficult job to re-foam, but it is time-consuming and tedious. Just be patient, and you have a like-new speaker! Everything is included (foam, glue, written instructions).

My speakers had been in need of repair, and I was looking for someone to fix them. I finally decided to look to see if there was anything out there that I could buy and do myself. I located this kit on Amazon.com The package came sooner that I expected and the instructions were easy to understand and after applying the foam to my speakers, they sounded like they were brand new. I would reccommend this to anyone if they have speakers that are in need of repair.
