I needed high-capacity electrolytic capacitors for a project I'm working on. You know, the ones that arc with a bang if you short their terminals with a conductor. These seemed perfect and I bought them.Upon charging one, I then tested it by discharging (as described earlier). No bang, no flash, and my multimeter showed it still had a substantial charge. So I decided to cut one open and see what the deal was. The picture shows it all. It's two button batteries stacked, encased, and wrapped to look like an electrolytic capacitor.Maybe it could work for smoothing out signals or for a deep-cycle charging circuit, but it was NOT what I needed...
