A fabric covered removable work surface/trap table offers another convenient feature for performance applications.Measuring 19 x 14 x 8 with wheels and a two-stage pull handle, the SKB percussion case offers the very best solution for transport and protection of percussion-related items. The protection offered by the SKB Percussion Case is impressive. Internal straps secure mallets during transport. It also features SKB's proprietary TSA recognized and accepted lock latches, enabling users to safely lock the cases and still have them inspected by airline security personnel. SKB is the only case manufacturer to utilize this technology. In addition, the case is completely air-tight and water-tight, and it features a 2-way pressure valve to prevent vapor lock during air travel. Beautifully well-made case. A little heavy, but it can't protect your valuable percussion equipment without being a little beefy, can it? Have only used a few times but so far, so good.

Avevo sempre acquistato valigette Peli, ma il costo oggi proibitivo mi ha fatto cercare alternative. Più recensioni di utenti americani mi hanno indirizzato verso SKB e devo dire che il prodotto è all'altezza. Poi l'occasione di acquistare questa valigetta a poco prezzo ha fatto il resto. Robusta, buone chiusure che possono essere utilizzate anche con lucchetti, finiture interne più che adeguate. Non l'ho acquistata per la possibilità di stivare percussioni, ma la suddivisione è stata utile per riporre un mixer, due microfoni e una serie infinita di cavi.Nonostante il peso complessivo "a pieno carico" (si sfiorano i 12 kg) le rotelle e il manico estraibile sono una vera manna. Si estraggono facilmente e con due altezze vanno bene sia per i più alti (come me che sono 185 cm) che per le persone normali.

Case is well made, well built and heavy. A little heavier than I was expecting but should last a long time. The telescoping handle on the other hand slightly flimsy, they should have used aluminum or something.

I am enthusiastic about the case! Playing the timpani, a have tried out various possibilities already. Mostly I take many pairs of sticks with me and I always try to find out as quickly as possible, which pairs are the best ones in the various acustic situations. This case helps me in a great way to transport a bigger number of them very simply, comfortably and safely: lots of space, they don't get squashed in the hard shell, and especially it helps to bring them quickly into a useful order for playing: the holsters enable me to change mallets quickly and quietly. If I need more than seven pairs during a performance, I can lay several pairs of them onto the trap table which I can also use for all kinds of accssoires. To take a folder with music, also small scores, with me in the case too, is no problem.The mallets which I don't intend to use in a performance I can store very conveniantly in the roomy space below the trap table. The only (small) things at the other hand are, that I am dependant on getting a chair for putting the case on it, but this everybody knows pefore buying it. Also their is no possibility to lock the case with a key, but if you want to lock it, you can put on one or two small locks of your choice very easily. How you like the look of the case from outside, is a kind of taste- I don't feel disturbed by it, especially because the dark colour matches well into the venue of a concert situation. All together, the product makes is worth for me to give 5 stars!

The SKB Percussion & Mallet Case has help me organize and consolidate a vast array of percussive instruments: tambourines, maracas, claves,triangle etc. that I have managed to collect over time into one place. In a rehearsal area where space is at a premium like mine, the SKB case has paid for it's self. The on board wheels and extendable handle of this SKB case makes for smooth traveling.

Charging this much money for something like this should be criminal. The flimsy extending handle feels like it'll break within the first week of use, especially considering the wheels barely turn and it will probably be skidding across the floor. The velcro tabs to hold in the trap table all had to be reset. Overall, just shoddy construction.Save yourself some money.
