I'm 5'7" socks go up to my knee. I fold the tops down a bit when worn. Material and construction seem good. I took one star off because they are thin and would not do well in cold weather.

LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE these socks. Extremely warm. Great for winter play, and for padding around the house in the winter. These are SO VERY soft, and they wash up well. Absolutely love them. LOVE them. HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend.

I wear an extra wide boot, and while these socks run a skosh smaller than other pairs I’ve tried, they still fit comfortably. If you’re on the edge of a size range or have wider feet like me, I’d recommend double-checking the sizing just to make sure you don't accidentally buy a child pair. Once on, they offered a secure, supportive fit that held up all day without slipping or bunching. These socks are definitely on the warmer side, which I actually appreciated throughout the day. Even with the added warmth, my feet stayed dry- something I can’t say about a lot of poly-blend socks I’ve used in the past. The moisture control here is solid and the cushioning is great. The Duo gray tone gives these a much more toned-down, classic appearance compared to flashier options. That minimalist style fits my everyday rotation a lot better and still looks clean whether I’m in work clothes or something more casual. I walk and hike allot so these are going to get a through thrashing over time. I can already tell, they will hold up better than most of the compression socks I normally buy at twice the price.Support-wise, they absolutely deliver. There's a consistent snug feel that runs from the footbed all the way up through the calf, offering real support without any discomfort. I've paid a lot more for similar socks that didn’t perform nearly as well.Final Thoughts: These are high-performance socks with a near conservative look, a solid all-day fit, and real moisture control. A strong 5-star option. No question.

I picked up these knee-high cold-weather socks after struggling with numb, blistered toes on winter hikes and ski outings. I was hoping for a blend that would wick moisture, cushion pressure points and stay warm without feeling bulky inside my boots. My goal was to find a single sock that could handle everything from breaking trail in deep snow to long days standing at a deer stand, without needing liners or multiple layers. The package arrived in a simple plastic pouch - nothing fancy - and inside the socks felt surprisingly soft against the skin. The ribbed leg and reinforced heel and toe areas showed a plush density that promised cushioning where I needed it most. On closer inspection I noticed a few loose fibers along the inside seam; a quick trim smoothed the interior and eliminated any potential for snagging or irritation.Out on the trail and on gentle slopes, these socks lived up to their thermal claims. The wool-acrylic blend did a fine job of shedding sweat, and even when my boots warmed up the fabric never felt damp or clammy. The extra padding underfoot eased long walks over frozen ground, and after half a dozen hand washes the cushioning stayed plump and supportive. Even the top band retained enough elasticity to stay up without leaving marks or rolling down.Pulling them on and off proved effortless thanks to their stretch, and once in place they reached just below my knee without digging in. I appreciated the anti-static finish too; no unpleasant crackle on vinyl or carpet when I take them off after a day outdoors. Ski boots with a tight fit will feel snug around the calf, so I’d hesitate to use these for aggressive carving; for more relaxed snowboarding or hiking boots they slide in comfortably.I’ve tried premium merino socks that cost nearly twice as much, and while those feel lighter and wick marginally better, they also wear out faster in rocky terrain. These strike a middle ground, offering most of merino’s benefits plus added durability from the cotton blend. At around twenty dollars a pair they stand up well to rigors like snowblowing, trekking, or shoveling without feeling like a disposable winter accessory. All told, these thermal knee-highs deliver reliable warmth, cushioning and durability at a fair price. They’ll suit anyone who spends long hours outdoors in cold conditions, including hikers, casual skiers, snowboarders and hunters. If you demand a feather-light racing sock for tight Alpine boots you might look elsewhere, but for everyday winter adventures these strike the right balance of comfort and performance.

The product page is a bit confusing on what size you're getting. I'm not sure if the -08 at the end of the description is the size, but I'm a 8.5 shoe size, so ordering an -08 should work if so. Luckily, as these are more ski socks, I don't have a problem that they were enormous, and went all the way over my knee and up to my thighs. The socks are soft, and warm. It's a bit late in the season for me to take them out on the slopes, but I wore them out and around in the cooler spring weather and was pleased that they helped keep me toasty. I believe they must be 100% cotton however, as they were not nearly as warm as my wool pairs. On that note, the asking price is a bit steep for what you get. I frequently purchase high-end outdoor gear brands and can get a pair of Darn-Tough or Smart Wool socks for around this price or less. In both cases, the materials and overall quality are far superior. When turned inside out for example, you can see the hundreds of lose threads where the seams came together, and I question how long these would last. With that said, you are getting quite a bit of material, and at least for the size I order, they cover almost the entire leg. However, if they only went up mid-shin or so, I wouldn't feel the value. I think you can do better for a $20 sock (current asking price), but they would be a great purchase at $10.

I purchased these in the off-season, but after initial inspection, I'm excited to use these when the snow comes around. The gray areas of the sock are not merely just a pattern, but are also a different density of synthetic soft material to provide more cushion aroudn the shins heals and toe box. The arches area is also woven for addtional compressive support. These have good levels of elasticity and with them mostly being synthetic I'm not worried about blisters or getting funky after a long day on the slopes. I wear an M 10.5 and these are the perfect size.
