We inherited a rigged up switch behind a drawer. Yes, that's right, we had to take the drawer all the way out to turn the fireplace on or off. So the remote control was an amazing upgrade for us. Easy and quick to install. It's been in about 6 weeks and works beautifully.

Item is not white like the picture shows, it is ivory. The additional option for mounting comes with a white wall plate but only if you mount the receiver in the wall. Wall switch as shown is not white.

Picture does not reflect product accurately. You can't really mount the controller as a wall switch. Having said that, the product works well with our pellet stove. What we have is a remote controller which is hand held. Wanted the wall mount to make it hard to lose controller but functionality is still there.
